Publisher's summary

The final three books in the epic World War Three military thriller series.

From a secretive jungle-covered island in the Pacific to the sands of the Middle East. From the smog-filled alleyways of China to the passageways of a US Navy destroyer. The War Planners series follows different members of the military and intelligence community as they uncover a Chinese plot to begin the next world war, and attack America.

Book 4: The Elephant Game

Tensions are running high between the United States and China. And a belligerent North Korea isn't helping matters. As members of the US military and intelligence community prepare for the worst, Chinese politicians play a dangerous game.

Book 5: Overwhelming Force

The Manning family is thrust into chaos as the Chinese military launches a surprise attack on the United States. Spread across different fronts, Admiral Manning commands the carrier strike group, Chase fights lethal Chinese special forces, Victoria hunts submarines, and David deciphers enemy plans. As the gargantuan Chinese fleet approaches with advanced technology, it will require skill, courage, and cunning to secure victory in this high-stakes clash.

Book 6: Global Strike

With the Chinese-American conflict at a standstill, time becomes the enemy as Chinese President Jinshan's health deteriorates. In a desperate move, China plans a massive military transit to American soil. The Manning siblings find themselves at the center of the impending battle. The Americans must go beyond their technological and courageous advantages to devise a plan that can turn the tide of war in this gripping conclusion to the War Planners series.

From USA Today best-selling author and former Navy pilot Andrew Watts, The War Planners series is filled with electrifying action, fascinating new technology, and unpredictable twists. Recommended for fans of Tom Clancy and Mark Greaney.

Great story, terrible narration!

This guy (or is it a bot?) mispronounces everything and is painful to listen to. I like the story but they must have gone with the lowest bid for the narrator! This guy is the worst I've EVER listened to. The drunk at the local dive bar would have been a better option. Come to think of it, maybe he IS the drunk guy from the bar...

Wild turns and twist

It did start off a bit slow. But around chapter 36 in the first book, I could not stop listening.

Interesting but too long

I have finished the first 3 books and just about done with the last 3. Book one was really interesting. I choose to ignore the many plot holes, I read them for entertainment value not history. yes there are plot holes but its a good story. Rather than give the story away, it deals with a very elaborate plan for the Chinese to gain world domination. How its done, in the course of the books I found interesting and entertaining. A number of scenarios, unfortunately I can see happening in real life, even today.
But I feel the book is too long. I think there was enough material for 4 books.
Here is my suggestion to you, get the books from Audio Books....than you can speed up the audio ( which I did ) to just being understandable and you get enough information to know whats going on. You can always slow it down when you get to something you like. I find 2.2 or 2.3 just fast enough Good plot, interesting story , for my opinion, too long, so fast forward to the rescue. I guess if you had a book or kindle you could skip about 1/4 of each book and not miss anything.
