Lots of prescience for its age
Wells nails a lot about class dynamics even now 130 years later. The end is charming with its whimsy but the meat of the story is it’s commentary, which is as good as any written today.

Finally some context for that Simpsons episode
Not an amazing story on its own merits but still worth a listen to discover the origin of some modern stories.

Quick, Interesting, Easy Listen
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, this is an easy listen and is a great, classic book. It wasn't what I expected, but I enjoyed where the story went.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Could have definitely finished this book in one go. It was easy to digest and enlisted beautiful imagery.

Great Clasic
It has been so long since I last read this book that I had forgotten it. The audible version was a nice way to recount the story. The performance was very good and kept me engaged.
