Lovely, beautiful read

Both the author's writing and the narrator's reading were outstanding. I found this romantic novel to be compelling and unusual; not a single dull moment either listening or reading.

Extra star for being just the right amount of steamy

Funny, touching, and hot. After listening to the book…some of the bad reviews make a lil more sense. Not that they are true, but that those people have apparently never experienced being in a relationship with anyone that has major trust and communication issues. I thought it was very well written and displayed in this book.

Love story in-depth

Writer really understands about trust issues caused by bad relationships. But gives a story that helps you care for the relationship these two can make and face once they overcome their fears. And the Narrator was amazing and really helped draw me in. Amazingly even made me tear up a little.

loved it. wasn't expecting to.

every now and then I couldn't tell who was talking between the two main characters, but the way Nicole brought them to life more than made up for some occasional brief confusion. loved the story and the steamy scenes were very tasteful, explicit as they were at times, I never felt dirty listening to them while or on public (with headphones). hope to consume more from the author and narrator

Big fan

Bought the ebook of this months ago and loved it. But wow! Nicole Eden made this book come to life! It hits different when hearing someone with such a lovely voice speak the words rather than read it in your own inner monologue.
I really love Melissa Tereze, she has written some of my favorite lesbian romance. Absolutely will re-listen to.

Wow

This was a absolutely wonderful story. It was very much mushy haha but it strung together nicely. The story told of two people that were meant for each other and they found each other making them feel complete. The chemistry was off the charts and the story was sweet. It wasn’t at all disgusting as you would think one falling in love with your step mother. It made sense. I definitely would recommend this book. You won’t be disappointed.;) well done🥰

Awesome narration, but story drags on a bit

The narrator is awesome! After the first 15 minutes of listening, I went to see if she's done more books on Audible. So far, she hasn't, unfortunately.

The story itself, ehh ... it's a pretty sweet story, but I thought it showed too little character development. The actual turns of phrases get repetitive. Perhaps you wouldn't notice the repetitivity as much if you weren't listing to the whole story in just 4 days like I did.

Overall, definitely worth a listen, but the story could have done with some (serious) editing. Like another reviewer mentioned; if you pay authors for the number of words they produce, you run the risk of them dragging their stories out a bit too much. Just like I am dragging out this review now. It just gets a bit boring, and that's a waste of a pretty nice plot.

Great premise, A lot of back and forth

This book was pretty good. I liked the passion between the characters and they definitely had a spark that captivates the readers. However, there was a lot of back and forth because the characters refused to communicate. It made for a slightly frustrating read through the middle as you knew what both characters were thinking and feeling but neither would tell the other. I think a different problem could have taken this story to the next level rather than just lack of communication.
