I always love Coel's books

Margaret Coel write a very good story weaving all of the threads together until a very exciting climax.

The story is about a murdered Indian with our heros John and Vicky solving the murder. I thought that the repeated telling of the tale got pretty boring and the use of legal jargon by non legal characters was off-putting. The cultural issues illuminated were fun, though, and the mix of Indian culture with white law is a discovery.

Not Tony Hillerman

I was hoping for something more fleshed out. It was OK, but I am looking for fiction that provides a deeper understanding of Native American culture and more fleshed characters.

Tangled Web of Deceit, Lies and Murder

I love this series. Father John and Vicky Holden try to protect and help a girl who witnessed the murder of her boyfriend. The tale takes a lot of twists and turns as secrets of the past come to the surface. Excellent conclusion, well worth the wait.
