Publisher's summary

We all have powers, whether we realize it or not. Powers that are unique to each of us. Powers that may be dormant for some, and powers just being discovered by others. These powers are uniquely ours to cultivate and employ when they are unearthed.

Yet how will we use these powers, once we are conscious of them? How do we gain mastery of them? Do we use them to help others or to benefit ourselves?

These are questions that all of us must answer as we adventure forth on this quest called life.

In the quaint town of Mill Valley, California, thirteen-year-old Connor Prince discovers a strange silver sphere on his desktop. Connor rushes to show his discovery to his best friend, Imogene. Together they are cornered by a strange, silver-haired man and the seemingly robotic sphere chooses that moment to “open” Connor’s mind to powers that had been latent until now.

This leads Connor to encounter a rather enticing ally and confront his sinister, silver-haired foe; a man who is intent on using his powers for domination and control. Connor learns about The Academy, where he will train to guide humanity into a new, evolved era of life on Earth. Before any of that, he has to escape his nemesis to get there!

Together Connor and his friends embark on a journey to harness the power of their own minds: learning to be present to seemingly overwhelming emotions, turning those emotions into fuel for their powers and ultimately discovering they are the creators of their own reality.

A reality that will ripple out into the universe … and change it forever.

Really great plot!! I can’t wait for the next book!

I loved the plot and character development. I had to speed up narration a little bit but that is normal for me for all audiobooks. Some impactful underlying life skills imbedded in the story. Nice work!!

Great storytelling

The story is very intriguing. Written well enough that I could see and feel the emotions of the characters. I look forward to the next book.

Thought provoking and entertaining

Learning how to be present to and use one’s emotions as fuel for mastering their abilities is something that would’ve been very helpful to me as a teenager!

Cinematic story telling

This is a really well written tale with many scenes I could see in my minds eye playing out on a movie screen. I think the narrator was right to choose a leisurely pace and it is great that Audible allows me to speed it up to where it's perfect for me (1.2). This book 1 is a great start to a series, where the good guys and villains are all fascinating characters that I look forward to seeing again in later books. The sound track to this movie in my mind also plays an important and cinematic role.
