Publisher's summary

There has never been a show business book quite like The Show Won't Go On, the first comprehensive study of a bizarre phenomenon: performers who died onstage. From the comedy magician who dropped dead on live television to the amateur thespian who expired during a play called The Art of Murder, the book is a celebration of lives both famous and obscure, as well as a dramatic and accurate recounting of events leading to the moments they died "doing what they loved." The Show Won't Go On covers almost every genre of entertainment, and is full of unearthed anecdotes, exclusive interviews, colorful characters, and ironic twists.

Will hold your attention

Great book, well written, heard the authors on CoasttoCoast with Richard Syrett, was intrigued purchased the book and was not disappointed. Will certainly be waiting for the sequel to this.

#EpicallyEnlightened

An absolutely & entirely morbidly fascinating topic! I couldn't get away! These stories are well arranged and some nearly unbelievable in their untimely timeliness!!! I would sooo welcome a 2nd addition as soon as can be compiled!🎊🎯🎈

Not many famous died on stage -nominal list

The book was okay. There are a few familiar named here most are nominally known people who most have never heard of. Maybe 10 perhaps 12 people the meaning of heard of internationally are featured in this book. the one I got a kick out of was the guy playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar who actually hung himself like the real Judas.

Just Can't Read Any More

I heard the author interviewed along with some snippets of stories, and it sounded very promising. However, it got repetitious very quickly and turned out that hearing the same story with different names wasn't very interesting. One problem is that the outcome of each story is already known...
The book seemed very sophomoric, which is not to say that I am some highbrow intellectual--far from it. Anyway, I am returning it because I know I won't listen to any more and I only got through the first couple of chapters.
