:Trigger Warning for all of those dealing or having dealt with abuse issues:
E.K. Blair is a fantastic storyteller/author. She has this capability of drawing you in, getting you hooked, and keeping you on that hook throughout the entire book. She did just that with me here.
I am intentionally keeping this review vague because I feel it’s better to go in blind on this one. At first I wasn’t sure where this book was going, yet once I realized what was happening I felt hesitant & tad bit disappointed, but unable to stop. I say disappointed because often times I’m left feeling frustrated with a book subject similar to this one. For me, it tends to be too drawn out, yet this book was in no way drawn out! Blair takes on the task of exploring a dark and difficult subject matter, and delivers it with a refined realism.
I am familiar with the narrators, Savannah Peachwood & Aaron Shedlock and as usual, they rocked it! They brought this audiobook to life and did a great job at doing so.
Do yourself a favor. If you haven’t listened or read any of E.K. Blair’s books, and are looking for something more from your “typical” Adult Contemporary Romance author, then read anything from this author. She won’t disappoint! Im looking forward to book #2 on 3/23/21

Could not stop listening!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audio of The Secrets We Held by EK Blair and I loved it. I had originally read this when it was first released and truly enjoyed getting lost in this story again. Narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Savannah Peachwood, I could not stop listening! The Secrets We Held is the first book in a duet and can be read as a standalone but is from the same world as The Crave duet. I absolutely devoured this story and could not stop listening.

This story was an emotional roller coaster that touches on some difficult topics and had me captivated from start to finish. The thing about E.K’s writing is she makes you feel the story. It’s like you are right in the middle of it and this one will leave you in pieces! I want to share so much, but this is one you just must just experience. This is a must-read and/or listen and the second book is now available as well!
