Publisher's summary

What if it's all a lie?

Since birth, human beings are bombarded by propaganda from the media, religion, schooling, government, culture, and even our friends and family. How do we know our thoughts are really our own?

In a world of infinite information and propaganda screaming at us from every direction, the truth is of paramount importance to our mental health, and can be a matter of life and death for every person on this planet. In The Propaganda Project, I expose the tricks of the propagandist--the tricks needed to legitimize the illegitimate, to make us think up is down, black is white. I dig deep into the muck to extract the truth about government, and the financial interests pulling the strings.

I hope you'll open your mind and journey with me into the belly of the beast. For the rest of you, don't worry, the best slaves think they're free.

Good summarizations.

Last 5 or 6 chapters went on and on about same subject and was tedious for me. One graph could have handled this in an easier manner.

A Thought-Provoking Piece

It surprised me how much I enjoyed this thought-provoking piece of writing. I'm not willing to state that I agree with everything that was written; however, the subjects presented by Phil M Williams are worthy of my consideration. It was obvious that the author feels very passionately about this subject and that he spent a lot of time, research, and thought in this project. Tristan Wright's narration was superb, and he kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Eye opening and thought provoking

Any additional comments?

Your eyes will be opened to all the propaganda we are bombarded with by the media, and our government. Not only was the book well written, but it was also well researched and thought out. The author definately put some effort into his research, and it shows. If you like the audio version, you'll like the print version for all the reference material he listed that you don't get with the audio. I originally bought the print version, but because of time restraints and my job, I decided to get the audio version so I could listen while I was at work. It was well worth the purchase. Highly recommend you check this one out!

This will make you think twice about what is going

This review is for both the audio book and the kindle version.
I listen to the complete Audio version and afterwards reread some of the chapters in the Kindle version.
Kindle version has the benefits of having a listing of reference material not available on the audio.
For me this book was a hard book to give a star rating.
Torn between a four and a five and would have given it a four and a half if that had been an option.
Reasoning:
A five for research, clarity and gets people to think.
A four because of a sometimes over simplified view. Not everything is that black and white, a lot of grey areas in between.
I highly recommend checking this book out. It probably is not your typical reading material and I do not agree 100 percent with Phil's reasoning closer to about 75 percent and feel that’s okay.
It will make you more aware of all the brainwashing that going on and get you do some of your own thinking.

Thought Provoking

The Propaganda Project. I really don't know how to rate a book like this. So my 4* ratings are personal.
This book is Thought Provoking, though many of the authors ideas are radical. It is a well thought out ideals and is well research. It is worth the time and effort of listening.
Like all things in life you decide which to believe or not.

Objective, honest & helpful!

As a student of propaganda, I found this book to be very useful. Thank you! much of what the author discusses is information that we all wish was just a conspiracy, I had to keep asking myself at many points, is he wrong? I was not able to conclude that he was incorrect in anything in the book.
