Publisher's summary

The Princess and the Prick is a feminist humour book for adults highlighting the sexism that exists in children’s classics.

‘I hate this book. It makes me look like a right prick.’ (Prince Charming)

‘A real wake-up call.’ (Sleeping Beauty)

Think Ladybird for Adults or Enid Blyton spoofs; The Princess and the Prick superbly flips fairy tales, nursery rhymes and children’s books on its head. Retold through a feminist lens as one liners, verses and rhyming couplets, it expertly highlights the sexism endemic in the classic tales with which we grew up. These classic tales will never be the same again....

Short, Sweet & to the Point

Breaks down what is problematic in several children's books, movies, nursery rhymes...in seconds. I was familiar with most of the titles, but not all. Appreciated the humor.
