    Mixed feelings

I was quite surprised when The Motley Fool, lectured me for an hour how credit cards, lottery and gambling are not good for my finances ... go figure. Unfortunately, most listeners would know those well known gems of financing already.
Second part however is a good introduction to investing and stock market in general. If you are new to investing, the second part of this audio program could give you a good 10,000 feet overview of the investing game and explain how to play it.

    Smart Ideas for Regular Joes

Unlike many books that promise systems for getting rich, this Motley Fool book contains practical advice about everyday finances. It presents a compelling case for the power every dollar, how to get out of debt, how to rethink the spend philosophy, and even how to buy a car. In characteristic Motley Fool fashion, it's also quite entertaining and a quick "read."

    Life changing.

I just re-read this (2009). It was one of the most life changing and liberating books for me in 1999, I was 21. More relevant than ever after the mortgage melt down. Should be required reading in high school but too many benefit from keeping us stupid. This book changed many of my views in life, and put me in the driver's seat rather than just being a passenger. I would also read "Rule Breakers, Rule Makers." Excellent. I also highly suggest Jim Cramer's books too, despite his bad reputation. Jim Cramer has a different investing approach but I believe the truth lies somewhere in the middle of the two. If you have only seen Cramer on TV, his real wisdom is in his books.

Don't be shy about the stock market!

Loved it, breaks things down into small bite size pieces. To the point and simple, no complicated formula or theory's. Will get the sequel.
