Great Narration but . . . . .
Julia Whelan was excellent as usual, but the storyline was lacking. The ending was such a disappointment. I feel like I wasted a credit on this one.

Original premise and great narration
Such an original idea with wonderful characters, enough intrigue to satisfy and a healthy dose of magic. Sounds like a great recipe for life too, not just love.

Not what I was expecting!!
This is a new author to me and I listened to it because of the narrator, Julia Whelan. This is the first Magical realism story I have listened to. It was so engaging and well written. There was suspense, sadness, happy endings, wonder and of course love. There is stories within the stories of people, including the Heroine that are not embracing their gifts in life and are stuck. So many twists in the story, not what I was expecting. I recommend this listen.

Oh what a fun book!
One of my favorites. Loved the story, the love, and some magical moments. Really makes you think. ❤️ Also Julia W. is my favorite narrator. A feel good book with a little twist. Enjoy!

Strangely beautiful
Strange, thought provoking, and beautiful but left my head spinning. I think I understand the message of the story but if I think about the ending too much it leaves me with so many questions.

I’ve always loved a mystical fairytale…
… and was delighted when I discovered this one. In addition, Julia Whelan narrates and that helped make a quick purchase. She’s introduced me to many genres that I never thought were for me. This is my first by author Amy Meyerson and most certainly not my last. She weaves an intricate tale that grabbed me from the very beginning. Magical, lovely and thought-provoking, “Love Scribe” is shiny, emotional and heart-wrenching as each character is brilliantly presented by Whelan. How does she do it? I’d listen to her read a dictionary. I have 50-plus Whelan books and look forward to many more. Meyerson’s book brings many emotions to the surface with a contemplative ending that brought tears to my eyes. An awesome nod to these two talented women for combining their talents with this complexellent gem. Highly recommended. “Love Scribe” is well worth a cherished credit, but I lucked out and found it for $6.99. Yes, I’m shrieking on the rooftop, “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

Inspires belief in love’s magic!
Beautifully written, excellently performed. Not my usual read, yet now a favorite. I would likely scoff at a book of such a fantastic story, but this was perfectly presented. Very well laid out and written. I will forever be more open to extending my typical reading preferences because of The Love Scribe.
