Hospitalization followed; physical therapy; then long, loving hours at home. Corrie regained a little mobility for a time - until the next strokes hit. She never regained her speech. Cornelia Arnolda Johanna "Corrie" ten Boom (April 15, 1892 - April 15, 1983) was a Dutch watchmaker who worked with her father Casper and other family members to help, reportedly, 800 Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War II by hiding them in their home. Eventually, the family was caught; ten Boom was arrested, sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp, and released after 10 months due to a clerical error. Later in life, ten Boom wrote The Hiding Place, a biography that recounts the story of her family's efforts and how she was able to find hope while imprisoned.

Tramp for the Lord is still my favorite
This would be good for anyone facing the role of caregiver or walking through end of life with their parents.
Also a must-read for fans of Corrie Ten Boom. Inspirational and upbeat for a lot of the book, but naturally sad toward the end.
I liked that the reader was British like the author, but a number of sentences felt like they were performed with the wrong words emphasized.

Brilliant on every level!
I have listened to many books on Audible, many moving stories, but this is the most brilliant reading: brilliant both as the story unfolds and one is drawn in and brilliant as the reader so effectively brings every moment, every voice, every nuance. I truly came to believe I was hearing Tante Corrie's voice as she was nearing "glory." I am overwhelmed with gratitude for Corrie and the ten Boom family, for Pam who was such a profound servant and author, and for the lively reading of this deey inspirational story.

Excellent and inspiring
Highly recommend. I absolutely loved it. Corrie’s story is so inspiring. She served God in the way she lived her life and in how she left this life.
