Publisher's summary

The thrilling conclusion to R. R. Haywood’s epic Code Trilogy.

After years of confinement in the squalor of the Worldship Humility’s lower decks, the Elfors are finally free. But freedom comes at a cost and as the Elfors spill through the rest of the ship they are met with open hostility. Tit-for-tat killings and assaults spread throughout the ship and Captain Helga Sveinsson is in danger of losing control.

Yet the chaos on board is nothing to the real danger facing Helga, Zhang, Sam, Yasmine and the others. They are still in possession of the code which contains critical information: the location of a habitable planet. A new home for the last of humanity. That knowledge is power and there are people who will stop at nothing to have it.

For 120 years The Six have ruled the fleet from the shadows, controlling finance, raw materials, construction, clothing, food, water–everything. Now they have decided to flex their muscles, and those they cannot bribe they will destroy. Nobody can stand against them.

But an Elforist never backs down from a fight, and this time the stake is the future of all humanity...

Great ending to the trilogy

I don't know what happened with the second book of the The Code Series trilogy, but all is forgiven in this final entry. "The Worldship Humility", book 1, was not great literature; it was a 5 star rip-roaring fun adventure to listen to. Just enough humor, just enough intrigue, fabulous storytelling, and excellent narration. Book 2, "The Elfor Drop", was a mess with a ridiculous amount of sex and sex talk; the story didn't even seem to start until well into the second half of the book. But this third book, "The Elfor One", has returned to the fabulous storytelling. Thank you R.R. Haywood for a solid ending. And, thank you Colin Morgan; you were an excellent narrator for the material.

Did it again!!!

Holy Shit. RR Haywood hasn’t missed yet. Not with any of his character, in any of his books, in any of his series…. He is so good at world building and filling them with characters that are so fleshed out I can see them perfectly in my head, and feel every nuance of their emotions. It’s fucking incredible.
Coming back now the Worldship Humanity universe was such a goddam pleasure. I honestly can’t imagine how the hell his brain does this with all of his books.
Such a great adventure as the third leg of the series. There is no loss of character development or lack of creativity with the dynamics overflowing from the previous installments. And the drive to find out what happens next didn’t let up.
Now that I completed it, I’m exhausted from everything my head just witnessed. I’m sad because who know if/when we’ll get to experience these people again. I’m lucky because knowing this world I feel like I’m part of something so cool and relatively undiscovered by the masses, which RR Haywood is worthy to be regarded highly by anyone who simply just loves a good fuckin story.
Thank you Haywood! I’m going to have a T-shirt made up that says that. “Thank You Haywood”
The age old question of, “Out of anyone living or dead, who would you like to have dinner with?” My answer would Be RR Haywood.
Thanks again man! I loved it!

good addition to the series

I have really enjoyed the series up to and through this latest book. My only major complaint is the way hacking or programming is portrayed in this series. Plenty of moments that should portray a sense of tense atmosphere tend to come off incredibly light hearted because of this. Sam could easily have been mentioned he's so brilliant because he's coded programs, daemons, to code other stuff or do things for him like the doors. Even just throwing in technical terms like compiling would have made the world feel more real. With all that said, probably my favorite character throughout has been Chang. The character feels real and it doesn't hurt that Colin does such a great job with his voice! seriously, had someone said that was the same person I wouldn't have believed it - bang on for a legit generic US accent!

Incredible!!

I listen to roughly 50 audiobooks a year, and rarely feel compelled enough to write a review, even if I enjoyed the book. This serious was so amazing. I can’t say enough good things about how well written it was. The characters had such great development over all three books. My only possible complaint is that it felt like it ended abruptly. The summary says it is the conclusion, but it feels like another book is needed to tie things up. Fingers crossed we get that!

Also the narration was perfect!

Ducking excellent!

Excellent conclusion, brilliant narrator! the ending is very dynamic, couldn't stop listening 😁 all characters are so distinct, may as well be voiced by different people, can't believe it's all one person.

Hope this isn't the end of the series

Another fulfilling entry into the series. I think most of the major threads are wrapped up by the end. The narrator's performance is on point. Can't really say anything else without revealing spoilers. If you liked the first couple of books, it's a must buy.
