Publisher's summary

A comprehensive value-investing framework for the individual investor.

In a straightforward and accessible manner, The Dhandho Investor lays out the powerful framework of value investing. Written with the intelligent individual investor in mind, this comprehensive guide distills the Dhandho capital allocation framework of the business-savvy Patels from India and presents how they can be applied successfully to the stock market. The Dhandho method expands on the groundbreaking principles of value investing expounded by Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, and Charlie Munger.

Listeners will be introduced to important value investing concepts such as "Heads, I win! Tails, I don't lose that much!", "Few Bets, Big Bets, Infrequent Bets", Abhimanyu's dilemma, and a detailed treatise on using the Kelly Formula to invest in undervalued stocks.

Using a light, entertaining style, Pabrai lays out the Dhandho framework in an easy-to-use format. Any investor who adopts the framework is bound to improve on results and soundly beat the markets and most professionals.

Another great teacher of investing

I found this book to be both educational and inspirational. The teacher, Mr Pabrai, a down to Earth individual, shares his vast experience with great candour. A book that I will be buying one hard copy to add to my shelf for investing reference guide in the future.

An alright book

A decent read with small nuggets but no real math or formulas to help make better investment options. Really more of a feel good value investor stories book. I did enjoy it either way. I think Pabrai should do a math book for his investing practices, he’s extremely intelligent and it would be a classic off the bat.

Loved this Book!

This book has completely shifted my mindset on not just investing, but on life. Be a giver, seek value, and create wealth to give. Choose companies & people to believe into, not the market. Thank you Mohnish Pabrai for such an amazing work, and Neil Shah for such a personable tone and enthusiastic way of telling the story. This is one of the books I will continue to visit and re-read (listen) to in the future!

Sincerely, please listen to this book

Written in 2006, holds value still, just like value investing!

Examples are plenty and case studies are practical.

Genuine advice from author.
