Cute story
The mechanical voice r and inflection of narrator was irritating at times. Her repeated pronunciation of the possessive plural of “girls” was bothersome. A cute story though so I finished it.

Awful accent
After being very upset with the horrible fake accent I managed to listen to the book. People in Texas do not talk with that accent. It was a good story with a very nice ending. Has Ms. Brown ever even been to Texas? If she had I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have used this fake talking narration.

Why did it have to end????❤️😍
It was a delightful story with the best narrator ever. She does the best voices and keeps them all straight. I loved all the characters and Elijah was dreamy. I felt like I was part of Piney Woods and having been a counselor in the judicial system for so long, I get it!

You will love this adventure
At first it started off where I thought I missed some very important detail, but I didn't.
This is a heartwarming novel about not only surviving but healing. I highly recommend this novel and towards the end, Have your kleenex ready.
