Publisher's summary

Elise Morley is an expert on the past who's about to get a crash course in the future.

For years, Elise has been donning corsets, sneaking into castles, and lying through her teeth to enforce the Place in Time Travel Agency's 10 essential rules of time travel. Someone has to ensure that travel to the past isn't abused, and most days she welcomes the challenge of tracking down and retrieving clients who have run into trouble on their historical vacations.

But when a dangerous secret organization kidnaps her and coerces her into jumping to the future on a high-stakes assignment, she's got more to worry about than just the time-space continuum. For the first time ever, she's the one out-of-date, out of place, and quickly running out of time.

The past, the present, and the future

I really enjoyed this book. The plot was original and I liked the progression of the characters

Excellent

This is 1 of those stories That you wish would go on and on and on. Very believable characters, And the story moves very quickly. I was very disappointed when it was over since I enjoyed it so very much. I have the audible version And the performance was excellent. You could hear all the words very clearly each character sounded just lightly different I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it.

Great Read!

I enjoyed this book immensely. The narrator was fantastic and ideas were compelling. I was looking forward to the sequel, but was disappointed to see it has not been released yet. Here's hoping it's released soon.

All in good time

This is an interesting premise for a very entertaining tale. The Author/Narrator has blended history and SciFi together in an intriguing combination I have not encountered. I’m very happy to have discovered this work and added it to my library.

Looking forward to a '...Book 2'

The characters were endearing, and the story was really good with some adventure, emotion and lighthearted moments.
Narrator Jennifer Stoneking was a gem! Did different voices for the characters and sings very well too. The only disappoint was that it ended and there was not another installment available....assuming there will be at least a book 2 since the title says that it is Places in time 'Book 1'

Very fun and poignant listen

Great story! The narrator did a wonderful job of bringing it to life. My only complaint is that it's too short. It feels like it could use another couple of hours of story because I wanted to live in that world a little longer.

Fun and Exciting

I loved listening to this book. The narrator was excellent. The story was a new and interesting way to look at traveling in time. The characters were fully fleshed out. I am looking forward to listening to the whole series as new books are released.

Interesting take on time travel, but the narration and too many cliches dulled the premise.

The narrator sounded like one of my grade school teachers reading boxcar children stories to my class. The story holds a lot of promise, but it really felt like there were too many “canned” cliches. Between the narrators oration and the cliches, it was very difficult to get lost in the book.

A rip off of The Chronicles of St Mary's

I love the Jodi Taylor series and was very open to finding this book thinking it was the group from the US. I was sorely disappointed. The story was rushed. The characters were one dimensional. The narrator sounded like she was reading to her kids at bedtime. Even the crazy ending made no sense and was really rushed. I listened to the whole book but should have stopped as the climax and the ending were not well written. This is a book to pass on. I gave it two stars because three stars were too many and it was able to hold my attention minimally.
