Good story line but Carey is annoying

Cary is so stupid, childish and annoying, if she asks "why" at obvious occasions one more time, I want to shoot myself. Also how easily she gets distracted into thinking about sex is pointless and just reiterate how bad her character is, which sucks because the story premise is good. Peachwood is a good narrator, stuck with a bad character.

The Coming Home Series

Wow. A book with betrayal, frames, murder and suspense all in one. These two go through so much and yet they are still able to fight for their love at the same time. The writing and narration of both of these books were done very well.

Weak, clueless, whiny female lead.

I can’t call her a heroine. Carrie is disappointing. Always questioning things that are obvious. Never using common sense or simple reasoning. She was the weakest character in the series. I should have counted the times she said “who knew…?” mostly about things everyone knows. Claudia, the bimbo, made better use of her brain. And what’s with all the fat shaming? Shame on you Meli. You’re better than this.

Too Wordy!

Great story, but this book beat around too many bushes for me. It was hard to wait for the next phase of the story that I found myself forwarding through a lot of it. The author took too long to get to the point and this robbed me a the full force of the story. With such strong male characters I was disappointed that there was only a female narrator.
