Publisher's summary

"We’d been in the house two weeks when Tommy pulled the first bones from the garden".

When Cassie Baker buys the house on Cedar Street, it’s partly because it reminds her of the house she grew up in in the ‘80s. It reminds her of happier times, when her Mom was still alive, before the cancer had taken her. It seems like the perfect place to raise her baby boy, Sam.

That is, until a friend unearths the remains of a dog, buried in a shallow grave in the backyard.

After the bones come the cockroaches...

The Cockroach King is a new novella written by Andrew Cull, the award-winning author of Remains and Bones.

Decent story

This was a pretty good but short creature feature story about a giant cockroach and his little "soldiers". It was a good story with a bit of a goosebumps kind of vibe. The story itself was good but I wasn't a huge fan of performance. The narrator tried really hard but just couldn't quite get the feel right for me. Her voicing of the child was overly loud and bordered on annoying. Same with the giant roach saying feed. Overall a good story and I'm glad I got to listen to it.

just wonderful

This is the best thing I've listened to in a long time.If you like to be scared this is the book for you. This is very well written, she takes a bug that everyone hates and turns it into something to fear. The narrator is wonderful. She really captures the emotions of the characters.I love horror books and this one scared me out of my mind.I don't think I could have listened to this at night or with the lights off.

Please Feed the King!

Creepy… and so much fun. I really enjoyed this storyline, reminded me of a Saturday Matinee Creature Feature. Cook up some popcorn, put on your headphones and enjoy! Barbara Henslee does an excellent job with the narration. I received this audiobook from the author at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
