Good preparation

Would you consider the audio edition of The Cabin Crew Interview Made Easy to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version. I think some sections like the tips for different genders and strategies for nerves would be better in the book so you can skip it easy if not relevant. I also think the book would be better for revision purposes.

What does Teri Schnaubelt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It is easier to listen on the go than to read. I spend a lot of time travelling and don't have time to read much so this format is ideal

Insightful, shocking and helpful

What about Teri Schnaubelt’s performance did you like?

I really liked the narrators voice. The tone is very professional and reminded me very much of how a recruitment officer does sound. Psychologically I think this will help when back in an interview environment.

I have been trying for Emirates cabin crew for 3 and a bit years, not that I am counting or anything, and I now realise that I have been making some very daft mistakes without realising it. In particular, I believe I have been the victim of several eliminations due to my willingness to be open with too much personal information. I never gave it a second thought until now and am having a cringe moment now when I think back to what I have said in previous discussions. I also found it very interesting to discover that the airlines use hidden tests to coax out a candidates true personality. I never try to be anything I am not, but I do now realise that there is a difference between being honest and being clever with what you reveal. I hope my next open day will be a positive experience.

What did you love best about The Cabin Crew Interview Made Easy?

As a guy, I feel at a disadvantage when attending cabin crew interviews, so I felt some help and preparation would help me overcome this. The book did not disappoint. Although discriminations do still occur, and there are some very questionable practices which go on behind the scenes, I am satisfied that I am as prepared as I could ever be. I enjoyed the overall flow of the book and the narration was spot on.

What did you like best about this story?

I particularly enjoyed the inside scoop. It was very revealing and insightful.

Any additional comments?

I found the section related to managing your nerves was a little long winded as I don't suffer from this myself. I would probably put this at the end of the book as a bonus, rather than in the middle. I also notice that the author has been incorrectly associated with the book.

On my second listening now. I listen on the bus to work and feel motivated by the time I arrive.

I like the section about the undercover interviewers because it gives a lot of advise on how to approach them. I also like the sample answers and now understand how to construct my own more concisely.

I learn much better by listening and don't have the time to read much.

Both. Ah, just kidding. I did laugh in parts, especially at the blunders, bloopers section.
