USA Today best-selling YA urban fantasy - book two in the award-winning Feyland series

Immersive gaming. Faeries. A hero from the wrong side of the tracks, and the girl he's afraid to love. Not to mention dangerous magic that threatens the entire human world...

What if a high-tech game was a gateway to the dangerous Realm of Faerie?

Inside the game...

Jennet Carter escaped the dark faeries of Feyland once. Now, fey magic is seeping out of the prototype game, beguiling the unwary and threatening everyone she cares about.

Magic...

Tam Linn may be a hero in-game, but his real life is severely complicated. Still, he'll do whatever it takes to stop the creatures of Feyland, even if it means pushing Jennet toward the new guy in school - the one with an inside connection to sim-gaming...and the uncanny ability to charm everyone he meets.

Always wins....

Despite the danger, Jennet and Tam must return to Feyland to face the magic of the Bright Court - and a powerful new enemy who won't stop until the human world is at the mercy of the Realm of Faerie.

Super fun

I’ve found a new narrator through this series. Absolutely picking up more of her stuff. Dont’ get me wrong, the author is great too... but the narrator makes this thing what it is.

I got blindsided and sucked into the book...

I picked up this second book in the series, to see if I could glean more about our main character's "real" lives... to suss out Tam and Jannet's world... but alas that's not what happened. What happened was I got blindsided by the game, sucked in by the Bright Court, and even a bit mesmerized by Amy Landon's greatly improved narration (over her previous work) on this book!!! To say that I LOVED this book, would be a bit of an understatement!
I still feel that it's a weak contender and won't be winning any litRPG's awards, because frankly, it's way more about Faerie, and way less about a LitRPG, since the game is just a ruse to enter into the Faerie Realm... But, as a story based upon upon the Faerie, and the Summer Court, it's just plain fun, and yeah, I do recommend that you begin the series/trilogy with book one The Dark Realm...
I gotta say that Amy Landon's improved performance was really welcome. It felt like she was lots more relaxed, and that allowed her to give a much more nuanced, enjoyable narration!
