The voice compensated for the story

The story overall was enjoyable but felt very anti climactic at the end. Elements were used quite well but felt like it was extended for literally no reason. The voice acting was cringy when trying to immitate numerous personalities from one being/source.

The Aspect

Outstanding listen great story. Rebecca Woods is most outstanding, she makes the characters come to life. She also makes the book that much better.

Good story

It's a really good story. It's just a little too sappy for my taste.

fantastic storytelling

this series sounds like someone's homebrew D&D campaign, and I truly have been enjoying it.

Rebecca Woods was fantastic!!

Story was great. Yes some of the other reviews attacking the MC are quite harsh but I see it as the Ajax trying to make him seem more human. The show was absolutely Stolen though by Rebecca Woods Phenomenal performance! She narrates, sings, and brings this story to life! I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone who likes the Fantasy genre.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about.

It makes me wonder if those of us that indulge in this particular interest do so about of deep seeded desire to be the protagonist or to enjoy a good story. If you are looking for yet another typical, uninspired, Gary Stu worl of ego stroking fiction. I regret to inform you that this will disappoint you.

It is a good story and it contains non traditional relationships in a fantasyy environment. It lends itself to high fantasy more than anything.

Harem? Yes. Good character advancement? yes.

I bought the first two audio books after listening to Ajax Lygan's romp series on Spotify(which is also good despite being unfinished). I wish I would've waited a bit because this series for 1 credit is a steal.

A more serious story

I’m used to a little lighter fare than this. The MC was cool but very naive in the beginning, understandably. Overall I really liked it but it took me a while to get through it with the level of violence inflicted on so many in the beginning seemed…excessive but it drove home the enemy’s brutality. If you like more serious minded “high fantasy” in your harem then you will like this. The songs were actually really cool! Sometimes they can sound a little cringy but the music in this series was well produced and sang beautifully. RW really showed her chops and showed why she’s amazing.

not so bad.

The performance by Rebecca was on point. Her ability to perform for both male and female characters is just outstanding. To add, she sings pretty well when a song is included.
The story itself was a great one but I did not like the mc and to a lesser extent, the other characters.
Let's start at one of the first mistakes, he should have never been alone with the bee queen. They had this buddy system but yet allowed him to be alone and manipulated by her. From there, the mc just makes dummer and dummer mistakes, hurting not only his loved ones emotionally but getting them in more difficult situations.
I pretty much lost it after he made that pact with the blood mother, which resulted in the death of the blutra's leader. I get that the author had to make the enemies interesting but to degrade a character just to make the enemies seem smarter is just sad. He never grew from those mistakes either, nor took charge of his situation. I'm not talking about the alpha male thing that some writers go for, he just spent all his time reacting, reacting reacting.
The only saving grace was Rebecca's performance and that it was a bundle so I got 4 for the price of one.
An interesting read but not worth it. for the single books.
