Publisher's summary

When news reports start appearing of a zombie outbreak in Ireland, B's racist father thinks it's a joke - but even if it isn't, he figures, it's ok to lose a few Micks.

B doesn't fully buy into Dad's racism, but figures it's easier to go along with it than to risk the fights and abuse that will surely follow sticking up for Muslims, blacks, or immigrants. And when dodging his fists doesn't work, B doesn't hesitate to take the piss out of kids at school with a few slaps or cruel remarks.

That is, until zombies attack the school. B is forced on a mad dash through the serpentine corridors of high school, making allegiances with anyone with enough gall to fight off their pursuers.

IRELAND VS LONDON

OK I'M TERRIBLE WITH GEOGRAPHY SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME EXACTLY HOW FAR AWAY IS IRELAND FROM LONDON BECAUSE THE WAY THIS BOOK GOES IS THERE WERE ZOMBIES IN IRELAND AND APPARENTLY NO ONE IN LONDON WAS WORRIED BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO THEM BECAUSE IT WAS TOO FAR AWAY. ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE THOUGHT THEY WERE STILL THE NEXT TO BE HIT ANYWAY. IF ZOMBIES WERE REAL AND IF THER WAS A ZOMBIE ANYTHING WOULDNT IT KIND OF BE LIKE EVERYWHERE AND NOT JUST IN ONE SPECIFIC AREA OR LOCATION. HOW EXACTLY DOES A BAD GUY OR MONSTER STAY OR SAY TO THEMSELVES IM GOING TO ONLY PICK THIS ONE AREA AND ONLY ATTACK AND BE BAD RIGHT HERE AND THATS THAT! I COMPLETELY FORGOT WHILE LISTENING TO THE BOOK THAT THIS WAS THE SAME AUTHOR AS VAMPIRES ASSISTANT BOOK SERIES I LOVE SO MUCH AND CAN GET FOR FREE ON AUDIBLE PLUS. I WISH THE ZOMBIE BOOKS WOULD BE ON AUDIBLE PLUS TOO. SO THE DOWNSIDE OF IT BEING BY THE SAME AUTHOR IS THAT HE LIKES TO MAKE IT A TOO BE CONTINUED FORMAT WHERE YOU AHVE TO READ THE NEXT BOOK TO SEE WHAT HAPEENS AND I JUST DONT HAVE THAT MANY CREDITS FOR THAT MANY ZOMBIE BOOKS IN THE SERIES. BUT I DO STILL WANT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK OF COURSE. ITS ABOUT SURVUVAL. ITS A TEENAGER BOOK. ITS ABOUT FAMILY PROBLEMS. THATS ALL RIGHT UP MY ALLEY OF WHAT I LIKE TO READ. SO FOR SURE 5 STARS rating from me!

Favorite author

Always has been and always will be my favorite author. Such great descriptions in any of his books, including this one as well. I read it when it came out but stopped when I realized it wasn’t finished, needless to say I was elated when I realized they were on audible. If only his Demonata series were on here too. Always a good story from him

Average

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Im not sure if i would recommend this book its average at best .. seems to have a lot of racist views in the book which is ok to an extent and the ending is sad but justified.. I will need to buy the next book to see if its worth moving threw the whole series..

Zombies who can think.

When you first meet B, you won't like her very much. She is a racist and a bully, at first. Stick will her, and you find a resilient, tough and honorable individual. Don't let your first impression of B stop you from reading the rest of the series. Excellent zombie series.

Great zombie read.

Really worth the read, great zombie story, top notch narration. Would of been a full 5 stars if it hadn't been so short. If you are an avid zombie fiction reader, like me, look no further.

Exciting

The story is fast-paced, and there's never a dull moment. It's intense and performed very well by the narrator.

LOVED CIRGUE DO FREAK

I like circdo freak ( don’t know how to spell it) but this one could have been better the only reason I tried this book is because of Darren Shan

For real?

This book was too short for the price. $12 for less than 4 hours? The story was less about zombies and more about prejudice. The narrator, Emma Galvin, is the only reason I continued through the story. Emma Gslvin is great in all her books!
