Pretty Little Liars meets Medium in this fast-paced thriller and fantastic YA debut from a New York Times bestselling author.
Maddie Fynn is a shy high school junior, cursed with an eerie intuitive ability: she sees a series of unique digits hovering above the foreheads of each person she encounters. Her earliest memories are marked by these numbers, but it takes her father's premature death for Maddie and her family to realize that these mysterious digits are actually death dates, and just like birthdays, everyone has one.
Forced by her alcoholic mother to use her ability to make extra money, Maddie identifies the quickly approaching death date of one client's young son, but because her ability only allows her to see the when and not the how, she's unable to offer any more insight. When the boy goes missing on that exact date, law enforcement turns to Maddie.
Soon, Maddie is entangled in a homicide investigation, and more young people disappear and are later found murdered. A suspect for the investigation, a target for the murderer, and attracting the attentions of a mysterious young admirer who may be connected to it all, Maddie's whole existence is about to be turned upside down. Can she right things before it's too late?

Have always loved books and I find that as I have gotten older I find this way more enjoyable then listening to the radio.
The fear of death is something we all face and this is what happens when one girl knows that death is coming, Maddie at times seems younger than her years and other times she's the oldest soul in the world. Her going from victim to hero is a wondrous progressions
This is such a good book, I literally couldn't stop listening.
It went above and beyond my expectations.
The whole book was my memorable moment
The narrator did absolutely fantastic!
This story was different for Victoria Laurie. I was pulled in from the beginning. I was both horrified and intrigued. If you like a good mystery you will enjoy this.
Books are a big part of my life. Happiness is a beautiful evening on the houseboat with a good book :)
I couldn't finish this book and returned it - thank you Audible! It may have been intended for a much younger audience - like 10 year olds. The story was unbelievable and disjointed.
Obsessed Book Fan
Victoria Laurie pulled me in to the story right at the beginning. beautifully told, interesting plot, great characters... listened to the book until it was done.
This was an absolutely wonderful book. so well written, so well read that I had to keep listening.
It's so nice to finally read/hear an original premise. Would YOU want to know when?? The narration was great (I wasn't fond of the accent but got used to it) and the plot was awesome! Not a dull moment. There were some pretty predictable parts but on the whole it was a fresh and engrossing story that kept me listening from start to finish with a sleep or two in between! I will definitely read more from this author.
The characters were great, especially Mrs. Duncan! Finally a book were there was no main love interest, this book focused primarily on the plot which was very refreshing! I found this to not be very predictable and the whole number concept was really fascinating to learn about. Overall impressed!
