Publisher's summary

Unbreakable, the sequel to Elizabeth Norris’ Unraveling, blends science fiction, mystery, and romance into a thrilling story YA listeners won’t be able to put down.

It’s been four months since Janelle Tenner stopped the Earth’s destruction with the help of Ben, the boy who resurrected her after she died. Ben is gone now - disappeared through a portal to his home world.

Even though Ben broke her heart, Janelle refuses to believe it when Interverse Agent Taylor Barclay tells her Ben is suspected of running a human-trafficking ring across several universes. She vows to uncover the true culprit and rescue the people who have been sold into slavery on alternate Earths - not to mention find Ben and prove his innocence.

In addition to Ben, Barclay, and Janelle, Unbreakable brings back fan-favorite characters Elijah and Cecily in this action-packed thriller.

The countdown is back! A must read sequel

When we finished unraveling (book 1), the world was left a mess – actually destroyed, Janelle Taylor lost her father, her best friend and the boy she loved (Ben Michaels). The ending was less a cliff hanger than a major downer. The only thing to hope for is somehow Ben Michaels will keep his word and come back for her. This is the setting for the opening of Unbreakable: Unraveling, Book 2.

People are going missing, more being abducted, and assistant junior FBI assistance Jannell is feeling the heat to find out why. The story builds fast. Her style of short punchy chapters is back (which I like) and so is the countdown clock (which I don’t). You’ll have to read for yourself what it all means this time – again. But I think you will be pleased with the story. Katie Schorr narrates this teen novel. She did a great job in book one and she doesn’t miss a beat in book two.

This teen novel will appeal to everyone and it’s appropriate for the young teen as well. There are no grizzly accounts but enough suspense for everyone. I highly recommend the 11 hours of listening; it goes real fast.

The sequel is actually better than the original!!

This story is quite well and tightly woven. Ms Norris has spun a tale that is well written and if anything, slightly understated, especially considering that the principal characters are teens so it would be easy to get "gushy." The story really brings you into J's world. There are a couple of unimportant details that don't seem to line up but that is of little consequence as I found myself wanting to hear more about this minor character or that scenario. Katie Schorr does a SPECTACULAR job narrating this book. She is quite consistent with this book and book 1 and her range of voices and emotions really brings you into the world of the Interverse. Well done!!!!

Shallow and Predictable.

Book One was a good read. Book two.... predictable and slow. Read halfway thru and I'm still looking for something tangible. Something to look forward to by reading the rest of the book. Sadly i gave up.

This series is so good!

If you could sum up Unbreakable in three words, what would they be?

Suspensful. Entralling. Genius.

What other book might you compare Unbreakable to and why?

I really can't compare it to another book for a few reasons. 1. It's very intelligently written. It's not just for young adults, I think anyone could find this book interesting. 2. There are so many different concepts in this book that I was worried they'd get lost, but it all worked and all made sense. 3. The protagonist was strong throughout the series. She never seemed to give up or feel sorry for herself. Yes she had issues with her parents, but I loved her strong character and her refusal to quit.

However, I found this series on a list of books similar to the Lunar Chronicles. I think they were very different but I'd still highly recommend the Lunar Chronicles if you haven't read them yet.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked a lot of scenes, I liked the idea of the characters hopping between worlds so easily. I did enjoy the prison scene, it was very descriptive.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When everything goes wrong..

Any additional comments?

Amazing. So worth the read and the listen. I have a feeling I'll be reading this book again soon.

A MUST OWN SEQUEL!! – I'm addicted!

Any additional comments?

Awesome YA series that Adults can easily enjoy as well. I'm kinda picky about my YA novels, as I only have a special handful I'd consider as my Favorites. Being a reader in my late-30's, it takes a special mixture in YA story-lines to keep me really interested. – These books are both great! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
