"This is the book John Green would have written if he were a girl." (Tammi Labrecque, author of For Better, For Worse)
"Moving, realistic story, beautifully and lovingly written. Very impressive." (Dawn Lee, author of The Forgotten Coast Series)
"I love the rawness of the main character." (Eryn Scott, author of A Chance for Sunny Skies)
I wanted best friends forever and calls from a boyfriend, but my phone only rings when some guy can't get what he wants from his girlfriend.
And knows he can get it from me.
I am my mother's daughter.
It wasn't always like this. At first it was just one guy, but when someone new drove me home, whistling and saying, "Damn, girl, you're hot," I knew what I was becoming, what I was doing.
I was going to let anyone have me until someone wanted me for more.
But then I found out I was pregnant.
And I hoped everything would change.
Hope. The word carries so much. Because what if it doesn't work out or show up and come through?
But what if it does?

I was so in to the story I was disappointed when the boom ended! Even though it ended I have still thought about the wonderfully colorful characters in the book! This narrator was so easy to listen to, that the emotion in her voice transferred to me and kept me fine tuned with the ups and downs in this book!

The plot of this book is excellent. I loved a supportive teacher, being there for Trix when she was at her lowest. I kind of had a feeling the
conclusions would be as it was.
I will look for other works by this author.
The narration was wonderful.
