Loved the ending

You have to read the first 4 books but I did love the ending. This series may or may not be intended for teenagers or the youth. It is a nice fun series. I am a seriously avid reader, and finish a novel per week. I picked up the first book in the series for my daughter. I ran out of books and picked it up. I have read all of them now. They are fun.
The series has characters that are well wrritten and believable. The goals and problems are very truthful. Michael Scott has to have or had a few teenagers because he has them down pretty well in the books.
Now don't think you are about to read a literary masterpiece but the stories have heart, soul, well planned themes and flow, and realistic well described characters. I love a good book and these are just that. GOOD BOOKS

Best of the Series!

This audible book is the best I have ever listened to. The reader does the voices very well and with all the twisting that takes place it is essential to know who is talking. This book was awesome! I could not stop listening. The worst part was the cliff hanger ending.

Josh is so dumb

Josh is pretty much the worst character, like jar jar binds bad. I hate how dumb he is. I get that the sword has altered him, and the bad guys have also tweaked him a bit. I just wish he'd stop and think for a sec. The Dr. had knowingly and deliberately tried to kill him and he's still, like Nicholas is the worst person ever. Nicholas could have ended up killing him during the awakening, but Josh pushed for that on his own and was then stupid and complained about the risk to Sophie.

Enjoyable

The narrators way of bring each character an individual voice was really great. This audio book kept me wanting to listen more.

It really made me listen

Michael Scott brings you in and wrings you out with each book in the series. This installment is no different. The story holds you tightly for the entire length of the telling. Mr. Boehmer, with respect, conveys all the voices admirably, although a few are so similar I had to "rewind" a few times to recapture the context of the story. Together, they endear you to hero and villain alike - no Dr. John Dee is still detestable throughout - but a few twists really took me by surprise. I look forward to book 6 wholeheartedly.

Read the others first but this is a great series. I love the blend of history, fiction, and mythology.

Varied voices

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is a solid story about a variety of mythological figures. The narrator is able to utilize varying voices which help to bring the characters to life.
