Read this book in paperback
I read this book in a paperback for and was struggling getting though it but being able to listen to it when I was driving. It was amazing and although Amy preforms it fairly well it was okay but I loved the story and the feeling it gives you.

Guilty pleasure
I enjoyed this book but in a guilty pleasure sort of way. Although the book was somewhat predictable I liked it and finished it all in 1 day. I was a little annoyed that there wasn't more catty fighting with the selected or more danger with the rebels but I found America's personality interesting enough!

It's okay
It was very hard to finish it cause America was so frustrating at times. The prince was sweet and Aspen was okay too. I wanted to swing Celeste across a room and I still don't understand why she is still a part of the Selection.
The Narrator could have put more life into her reading though.

Great Storyline. Realistic narration.
I love a good romance novel. This is a great one. I loved the storyline. It was inspiring and left me with feelings that unexpected fairytales are possible. This first book in the series ended with the question of what’s next. As soon as I was done I purchased the remaining books in the series. Happy reading!

Had my doubts, but glad I gave this one a chance.
The top review on this book caught my attention, and I'm glad it did. I saw some of the negative comments and wasn't sure if I should take the time / spend the money on this book.
The FIRST thing you will notice when you begin this audiobook is the narrator's flat, robotic tone. I promise you, it gets better. I don't know if she was nervous or what ,but keep listening. Not far into the book I noticed the narrator starts using more inflection and even lends the characters their own voices. I finished this book in a couple of days, listening while I work, and immediately bought the 2nd book. (This will be my only complaint: the story isn't over yet after the first book.)
If you can stick through the very beginning, and you are ready to get the 2nd book also, this is a cute, romantic novel, and exactly what I, personally, was looking for at this time.
I haven't finished the 2nd book yet, but will probably work through the whole series. Hope this helps! :)

Enjoyable
Story was good and nice change that protagonist wasn't constantly making dumb decisions, but actually put some thought into her actions. Fairly clean book, definitely in the YA genre.
