Publisher's summary

"My name is Chloe Saunders. I'm 15, and I would love to be normal. But normal is one thing I'm not. For one thing, I'm having these feelings for a certain anti-social werewolf and his sweet-tempered brother - who just happens to be a sorcerer - but, between you and me, I'm leaning toward the werewolf.

"Not normal. My friends and I are also on the run from an evil corporation that wants to get rid of us - permanently. Definitely not normal.

"And finally, I'm a genetically altered necro-mancer who can raise the dead, rotting corpses and all, without even trying. As far away from normal as it gets."

Also included is a sneak listen to the first chapter of the Darkness Rising series. Enjoy!

Wished for a more complete closure

I wish there was a more finished ending, even just an epilogue or another book to have closure.

felt unfinished

the end of the book left too much open making the series feel unfinished. it needs ons more book to bring at least some of the dozen or so open ending to be answered and have closure.

love it!!

Where does The Reckoning rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is amazing I. And love this compared to others because she isn't like other characters it pulled me into its tale and I couldn't stop!

What did you like best about this story?

The plot was my favorite part with everything I love in each story!

What three words best describe Cassandra Morris’s voice?

It surprised me her voice I liked it but she sounded to young (yes I know it is the point but still!) She is a very good reader I love it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the part when he changed into a wolf and Derek and Chloe play before getting jumped.

Any additional comments?

this is highly recommend

Conclusion to Trilogy Will Leave You Wanting More

This was the first book of the series that I ended up listening to all in one sitting...and there were some moments in the book that had my heart pounding from excitement. Chloe's story picks up during this book - this book covers about 48 hours of time, instead of a week or so, as with the previous novels. The relationships that Chloe has with her fellow escapees, as well as their guardian figures is picked up and turned on it's head in this novel. Things are not always what Chloe expects, which often leaves both her and the reader surprised by the turn of events. Chloe, as a person, has continually grown stronger throughout the books, but in this novel, she also seems to become a much more insightful and introspective character. Her romantic life also starts experiencing some action (instead of just veiled illusions to romance, as with the previous books). All in all, I think that this was a strong conclusion to the trilogy - which left lots of open ends for possible follow-ups. I cannot wait to hear how this group of characters stories end and only hope that Armstrong gets around to telling it soon.

Want more!

Most of the loose ends were tied up here but I see a possiblity for more.... Maybe a story where Chloe is an adult?
Anyway, I enjoyed the series!

Best book of the trilogy

Any additional comments?

** spoiler alert **

**SPOILERS**

So far this is the best book of the trilogy. Chloe finally figures out which guy she is really into and goes on her first date. Derek finally turns fully into a werewolf.

Margaret, a necromancer, who used to be one of the bad guys tries to help Chloe and instead refuses to believe Chloe (thinks she's making up stories) about how strong her powers are. And as you can guess this led to disaster....grave disaster. As in earth rocking, earth shattering, earth splitting graveyard disaster.

Why should an adult ever listen to a 15 year old? Don't adults always know better? Blah! Listen to the kid!!!

Tori finally calms down a bit and learns that she doesn't have to mouth off every 2.3 seconds....don't worry she's still plenty spunky and snarky...just not as mean.

I have 2 hours left of the audiobook and so far the story has just been awesome. There's a stronger sense of urgency, danger, intensity, desire, hopefulness and paranoia.

Genetically altered supernaturals? Check
Evil corporation out to hunt the genetically altered supernaturals? Check
Journey to safety? Check
More than one obstacle on the way to safety? Check
Love story along the way? Check
Fear that the people you trust may not be worthy of trust? Check

I'll stay tuned to the next 2 hours.... in the meantime I suggest you start listening to this trilogy.
It starts slow with the first book, gets more interesting with the second and really is brought home with the third!

This is by far the best book of the trilogy. The narration in this book was great. I think maybe the narrator was just trying to make herself sound young in the first book...because she really stepped it up for this book.

The adventure & intrigue & romance throughout the rest of this book was great. I listened to it nearly straight through.

Great book!
