Would you listen to The One again? Why?
No, who would?Would you recommend The One to your friends? Why or why not?
No and I've already told my daughter that she doesn't need to read this one.Which character – as performed by Amy Rubinate – was your favorite?
Maybe the rebel girl, at least she was actually strong.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes...disgust. I bought the first book and thought it was fun, so I bought the next 2 right away. Half way through the 2nd book, I realized that I'd made a huge mistake. I decided to read the last book just to see if the America or Maxon redeemed themselves....they didn’t. The themes in the book appeared to be Obedience- Submission and Subservience particularly in woman. I kept waiting for America to stand up for herself, to tell Maxon to take a hike especially when he’d speak to her like she was his possession… for the record girls, that is NOT romance that’s what a weak, chauvinistic hypocrite sounds like and if any guy talks to you like that dump him!Any additional comments?
Please don't let your teens read this---it's the bachelor for young girls and the adult version is bad enough!Saddened that young girls are reading this
