This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book had potential but the story, the characters and even the southern background was so cliche. Julia Whelan saved this book for me. If it wasn't for her narration, I don't think I could have finished this book. I wish that Alex would have been a stronger female character. The character she was built up to be crumbled half way through the book. I think that had her character been fierce, strong and unwavering in her decisions and convictions then i would have rooted for her. But as it stood, she was a whiny, wishy-washy character.

Has The Magnolia League turned you off from other books in this genre?

Nope. A good story is a good story and I love when I stumble upon one.

Did Julia Whelan do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

yeah she did a great job in the southern accent of all the girls , I really could tell who is who

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Magnolia League?

I would re-write the whole thing and make it more interesting

    Any additional comments?

I was looking forward for this .. I don't think the second book will be any better but I will try and read it

    "Good story and narration"

The story line is interesting and the narrator is good. A fine book for summer beach listening!
