Set in a lethal American professional football league seven centuries in the future, The MVP puts huge humans on the field with four alien races, creating a game that is faster, stronger, and deadlier than anything we know today. Star quarterback Quentin Barnes has spent three seasons putting together a hard-hitting, hard-fighting team that combines rookies, rejects, discarded free agents, and seasoned veterans from all five species. He has fought against racism and bound his team together through shared sacrifice, blood, tragedy, and victory.

this series actually gave me an appreciation for football. sigler is an amazing writer. as well the mixture of drama and comedy make this and all of his work a pleasure to read and listen to. I cannot wait for the next in the series.
Scott Sigler absolutely gets it! He knows how to make these novels fresh and they are never repetitive. I can't wait to read each new installment of Quintens story.
1) any audiobook-a-phobe knows that the person reading it makes all the difference. If you hate the voice of the person reading it, it ruins everything. Scott's voice works perfectly. and he doesn't just read it straight. he makes up the different voices for the characters. they put in sound effects. I can sit back, and imagine myself on the sideline.
2) Lots of references to other things make you bond to it more. He gives nod's to The Godfather, Douglass adams - hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, Captain Kirk, Terrance and Phillip, and others that currently slip my mind. But it gives me additional connections to the book.
don't want to give it away
Sound effects, different voices, and a love for what he is reading
Each book in the Series has been better then the one before. So Far, MVP is my favorite.
I will be re-listening to this series again and again. guarenteed...
Enjoy this book if you like football just a little bit because it will make you appreciate it more. This book is also enjoyable because Sigler crafts such an enjoyable characters and alien races coupled with the enjoyable audio representations of these aliens.
At first I though Sigler had lost his mind with the new characters names, but this story keeps getting better unlike a lot of book sequels. I'm about to start The Champion and we're going places no sentient has come back from.
Let me tell you, that I am not an overly obsessive football fan. But, this story can hook you no matter what. I'm in it for the Sci-Fi and Siglers story telling.
For any one getting this book I hope that means you read or listened to the previous books. This is a fun story of utilizing diverse talents and discovering what matters while pursuing a team goal. What makes it so fun is the
Scott You have done it again, WOW what an awesome book! Scott Sigler is my favorite author and this series is his best work in my opinion. I do enjoy the different amounts of turmoil that the main character has to go through. The different twists and turns are wonderful and it is blended in perfect proportion to the rest of the story. Which by the way I think your story telling ability is a huge asset that helps bring your books to life in your readers mind.
I know there may be some different things in store for Barnes in the future, but hopefully there will still be a good bit of football in the books to come. The way that you get in the mind of a football player is such a unique way to do it. You bring out so much detail and really get across the emotion of what is going on in the players head. I can't wait for more!!!
