Publisher's summary

"In a world where dreams are real, nightmares reign."

Around the world humans are hallucinating after sleepless nights.

In a sterile, underground institute the forecasters keep reporting the same events.

And in the backwoods of Texas, a 16-year-old girl is about to be caught up in a fierce, ethereal battle.

Meet Roya Stark. She drowns every night in her dreams, spends her hours reading classic literature to avoid her family's ridicule, and is prone to premonitions - which are becoming more frequent. And now her dreams are filled with strangers offering to reveal what she has always wanted to know: Who is she? That's the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out. But will Roya live to regret learning the truth?

Loved the series

I loved the series. This was the first series/book from this author and won't be the last.
The audible wasn't going fast enough for me, so I had to get the kindle version just because I could read it faster than listening to it.
The books did not disappoint me.

The Narrator Really Brought This to Life

I didn't expect to finish such a long listen in under a week but I was riveted within the first thirty minutes and essentially didn't put it back down. The story was fascinating and the narrator helped to further bring it to life!

Dreams can be Dangerous

Interesting stories about people who have the power to travel while they sleep. Would you want to have that power? They train and use their power for good.

Great read, great series

Awoken (The Lucidites #1). I got this book on May 29, 2016 and somehow never got around to reading it, but after reading Suspended I realized what a good author Sarah Noffke is. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters.

Stunned (The Lucidites #2), my twenty-eighth read from author Sarah Noffke. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters.

Revived (The Lucidites #3), my twenty-ninth read from author Sarah Noffke. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well developed characters. There's something I really enjoy about a story with characters trying to survive in a world that's moved on. I also love stories about time travel. But I don't restrict myself to a particular genre. I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters and a story that keeps me guessing. The recipe for my perfect novel? A dash of backstory, a pinch of character arc, and a whole heaping of plot that keeps me turning the page long after I should have called it a night. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Good listen

An interesting box-set, highly entertaining, a few surprises, danger, a few thrills, well plotted with interesting characters that hold your attention. Roya  isn’t one of my favorite characters I didn’t like how she played with George, I really felt sorry for him, besides that I thought it was a great story that held my interest.

The narrator did a wonderful job bring true emotion to the story that made me feel what each character was going through. There were a few times I felt like crying. She gave true meaning to the words the author wrote. I knew what each character felt, I felt their pain, sorrow, thrills, excitement. Her character voices were delightful, you always knew who was talking and what they were felt. There were no background noise, no volume change, if any breaks were taken I could not tell, no repeating of words. It was a nice clear listen, I look forward to listen to more of this narrators work. She has a voice I could listen to all day.

I thought this was a good listen, it has a nice plot, characters you can relate. There were times I thought oh no this can’t be good, how could you do that, there were times I really wanted to pull the characters in my arm and take their pain away. For the most part it was a very touching listen.
