"My name is Megan Chase. In less than 24 hours, I'll be 17. Although, technically, I won't actually be turning 17. I've been in the Nevernever too long. When you're in Faery, you don't age. So while a year has passed in the real world, agewise I'm probably only a few days older than when I went in. In real life, I've changed so much I don't even recognize myself.
"I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
"This time, there will be no turning back."

"From early on, the adrenaline rush starts, and doesn’t let up until the back cover is closed." (Teens Read Too)
The 3rd book in the Iron Fey series is super. I don't want to write a long review, but this is the kind of book that I ache when I stop reading it. I wish I could read it all the time. I can't wait until the Iron Knight comes out in Nov! Khristine Hvam does a fantastic job reading. Loved every bit of it!
I really like the series and although I am not addicted as I was to Twilight, I am a follower of the series. It is a great story line, well developed characters, and it gets me out of my daily bore in to a world of fairy folk. Can't ask for more. Author is great. Narration is also very good.
This one ( the third book ) was not as good as the first two because it was very predictable. However it was still good and I would recommend it. There was a very small amount of sexual verbiage but enough not to let a child read it. I would say it is mature level.
I have not read the novellas and probably will not. I may purchase the new novel that is from Ash's POV but I am not familiar with the narrator which can make or break an audiobook. If I can hear a sample and like it then I will buy it.
I listenined to all 3, although I won't most likely re-listen, I did like the series, thought I DO THINK ITS MORE FOR THE 14-20 ages, its story is a love story, a story of change and adjustment and doing what must be done to save the lives of family and friends,,,
This was the worst book/series I have read in a long time. The main character was week and all she did was whine. There was no strength to her at all. Over all there wasn't much character or plot development. All of a sudden the author would throw new things into the story without any foreshadowing at all. For example, the curse on Ash??? Where the hell did that come from?? This book was so long because the same concepts, and I swear the same sentences, were repeated over and over. I found myself rolling my eyes every paragraph from the terrible writing and annoying main character. Ugghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! I even added a new Goodreads bookshelf for this book named "terrible". The first negative bookshelf I have created.. I think the reader even made it worse at times. The main character was already a whiney baby, but the reader would make her sound like an 11 year old girl going through puberty. Terrible, just terrible.
aside from the silly love schmaltz a good story and a good... read fairly inventive
this was a great follow up from iron daughter I found myself laughing crying and ready to beat someone up as in one of the caricatures so I would say over all the author has a success
This series so far is a brilliantly composed combination of so many time honored and loved fairy tales . You catch the honored nod to such timeless works such as Alice in Wonderland , and the Labyrinth. I love it and can't wait to see what happens next!
