"My name is Megan Chase. In less than 24 hours, I'll be 17. Although, technically, I won't actually be turning 17. I've been in the Nevernever too long. When you're in Faery, you don't age. So while a year has passed in the real world, agewise I'm probably only a few days older than when I went in. In real life, I've changed so much I don't even recognize myself.
"I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
"This time, there will be no turning back."

"From early on, the adrenaline rush starts, and doesn’t let up until the back cover is closed." (Teens Read Too)
The 3rd book in the Iron Fey series is super. I don't want to write a long review, but this is the kind of book that I ache when I stop reading it. I wish I could read it all the time. I can't wait until the Iron Knight comes out in Nov! Khristine Hvam does a fantastic job reading. Loved every bit of it!
I really like the series and although I am not addicted as I was to Twilight, I am a follower of the series. It is a great story line, well developed characters, and it gets me out of my daily bore in to a world of fairy folk. Can't ask for more. Author is great. Narration is also very good.
This one ( the third book ) was not as good as the first two because it was very predictable. However it was still good and I would recommend it. There was a very small amount of sexual verbiage but enough not to let a child read it. I would say it is mature level.
I have not read the novellas and probably will not. I may purchase the new novel that is from Ash's POV but I am not familiar with the narrator which can make or break an audiobook. If I can hear a sample and like it then I will buy it.
I listenined to all 3, although I won't most likely re-listen, I did like the series, thought I DO THINK ITS MORE FOR THE 14-20 ages, its story is a love story, a story of change and adjustment and doing what must be done to save the lives of family and friends,,,

Fierce, Emotional, Adventure. This book has been my favorite so far, I am completely attached to Megan, Puck , Ash and even Grimm....so many other characters that are in this book and the details about the creatures in the never never is so good.
I do not want to give any spoilers but it all comes back to the beginning, where it started and where it all begins again...anew
read this series, it is so much better than I ever expected, I have been powering through all of the books like wildfire, it is all I want to do it listen
It is a good book. I enjoyed listening to it ( great narration by Khristine Hvam). I'm not really sure where I would rank it. I guess I would say the top 25. I have listened to so many books over the years.
I think that most YA books have the same outline now.
The time they spent in the cabin
I did get teary eyed at the end.
"My test of a good book is dreading to begin the last chapter." - Thomas Helm
Follows up perfectly to Book 2. I enjoy all the characters. I find I really like Khristine Hvam for the main character as well as all the characters. She gives each one their own voice. Grim, the catshe, is so smug and she translates this well. Could have ended w/ Book 3 but, there is Book 4 to read so don't stop. Enjoyable, action packed, romantic and ends strong.
I can't say better, there are times when I can imagine the voices of the characters to my liking and time when the narrator just doesn't hit the mark then I prefer reading the book myself. I do love the audio books though because they help me to relax and calm down before bed I guess like an adult bedtime story.
I think it would have to be all the aspects and how they came together. I loved the way the characters fit together and I loved the ending very unexpected ending great formula for the whole book.
The end about the last 12 minutes I think. Don't want to say more incase you haven't read it I hate spoilers.
Who will win Winter, Summer or Iron
I love this whole series and will probably read more by the author.
I have listened to the entire Meghan Chase arc of the Iron Fey series including The Iron King, Winter's Passage, The Iron Daughter, The Iron Queen, Summer's Crossing, The Iron Knight, and Iron's Prophecy. I also plan to listen to the Ethan Chase arc beginning in The Lost Prince. I'm fairly certain that I'll listen to The Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa.
I don't know that I'd follow Khristine Hvam to any other novel, but Id be pleasantly surprised to find her reading another book that I listened to.
This is the same exact question as above, Audible.
I liked that she had distinct voices for all the characters that made a dialogue very easy to follow while listening to it.
The Iron Queen seemed to pass fairly quickly. I listened while at work and enjoyed the story while still being able to focus on work. It's a fun and light book.
More Ash and Meghan romangst. If you love it, you'll love this book.
Hvam's performance is a wonderful listen and adds a richness to the Iron Fey series.
I really enjoy Khristine Hvam and will not hesitate to purchase any book that she performs.
