Stella will do anything for her sick sister, Cara - even stand in line for an autographed Heartbreakers CD for four hours. She's totally winning best birthday gift this year. At least she met a cute boy with soft brown hair and gorgeous blue eyes while getting her caffeine fix. Too bad she'll never see him again.
Except Stella's life has suddenly turned into a cheesy love song. Because Starbucks Boy is Oliver Perry, the lead singer for the Heartbreakers. And even after she calls his music crap, Oliver still gives Stella his phone number and whispers quotes from her favorite Disney movie in her ear. OMG, what is her life? But how can Stella even think about being with Oliver - dating and laughing and pulling pranks with the band - when her sister could be dying of cancer?

"[I]t's a formulaic romantic fairy-tale..." (Publishers Weekly)
To my surprise, I really liked this book! I usually read the complex, action-packed books, that have 500 pages. And yes, The Heartbreakers is definitely not a thrilling or complicated story. So, I will admit there were many cringe worthy cheesy moments. And it was all very predictable. Another flaw was the narrator. I liked her, but a lot of the characters sounded the same. However, the book made me smile all the way through! By the end, you'll be wishing Oliver was your boyfriend! I loved how the story focused on each character and Cara's cancer, while telling a love story! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick, funny, sweet book that will make you happy for hours!
I liked how you felt how awkward Stella felt a lot of the book. She was uneasy and you could tell that through the way she was reading it.
I liked how it wasn't just about love and rock in rock. It was was family and the love that comes with that.
This was the first book I had listened to of hers and I really like how she seems like a shy but strong Stella.
YESSSSS!!! I could not put in down. I was listening in my car and going to sleep... ok staying up late!
It is a love story at it's core but I loved that it was also about finding herself!
I can't believe how emotional it is and I would LOVE IF A MOVIE WAS MADE IM BEGGING YOU TO MAKE ONE!!!
Audible I'm begging you to contact Ali Novak and tell her this it is so amazing AND PLEASE MAKE A MOVIE IT WPULD BE EVEN MORE AWESOME
