The Graveyard Book, by Neil Gaiman, has sold more than one million copies and is the only novel ever to win both the Newbery Medal and the Carnegie Medal.

Nobody Owens is an unusual boy who inhabits an unusual place - he's the only living resident of a graveyard. Excellent!

From beginning to end, this story held me captivated. Everything was there, a unique plot with endearing characters, all relayed in an excellent performance by the author himself.

Tim Ferris suggestion

I normally enjoy biographies and non-fiction but after several suggestion from Tim Ferris I decided to download this book. The story is very good and I enjoyed the mystery. I would suggest this to anyone who was looking for an enjoyable book that you could listen to while working around the house. I listened to this while cleaning and weeding the yard and on long marathon training runs.

Neil Gaiman: Extraordinary Narrator!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook for the sheer delight of listening to a masterful narration and storyline.

What other book might you compare The Graveyard Book to and why?

The path that young Bod's life travels brought to mind "The Talisman," with all its fantastic characters and events. Neil Gaiman creates the most unbelievable story, and renders it believable.

Which character – as performed by Neil Gaiman – was your favorite?

Although there were many, Silas was my favorite character. I found myself anticipating his presence in the novel, and wondering (like the inhabitants of the graveyard) where he had gone in his absence.

Must Read!

One of the most original stories i've read in the last 5 years! Neil's reading of the book adds a whole new level of depth to the characters that you just don't get from reading alone.

I never thought I would be so sad.

To hear of someone leaving a graveyard. This story like the song Piano man was short and sweet and he knew it complete when he wore a younger mans clothes.

Neil Gaiman is an amazingly talented man. I hope he never stops writing.
