They called it the Thorn Hill Massacre - the brutal attack on a once-thriving Weir community. Though Jonah Kinlock lived through it, he did not emerge unscathed: like the other survivors Jonah possesses unique magical gifts that set him apart from members of the mainline guilds.

At seventeen, Jonah has become the deadliest assassin in Nightshade, a network that hunts the undead. Emma Claire Greenwood grew up worlds away, raised by a grandfather who taught her music rather than magic. An unschooled wild child, she runs the streets until the night she finds her grandfather dying, gripping a note warning Emma that she might be in danger. The clue he leaves behind leads Emma into Jonah's life - and a shared legacy of secrets and lingering questions.

Was Thorn Hill really a peaceful commune? Or was it, as the Wizard Guild claims, a hotbed of underguild terrorists? The Wizards' suspicions grow when members of the mainline guilds start turning up dead. They blame Nightshade, bringing tensions between the groups to a head. Racing against time, Jonah and Emma work to uncover the truth about Thorn Hill, amid increasing concern that whoever planned the Thorn Hill Massacre might strike again.

Love love love this book!

Its an amazing story, though I can't say too much without spoiling. Action, ill fated romance, and the downside of superpowers make an interesting combination. My only problem is it does end very abruptly: Feels like the middle of a scene.

Excellent, but hell of a cliffhanger

The ending felt like the author just decided to stop writing, minimal build up at the end just to abruptly stop. Throughout the whole book (spoilers) it is painfully obvious what Emma's gifts are but the characters act like it is a complete mystery and emma just is so stubborn to think that her entrancing music is just her playing skills. Wonderful story though and I great series. Production and audio is definitely a much higher step up in this book compared to the other 3

Awkward cliffhanger and painfully ignorant characters but great story

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes I would suggest this book to a friend, but if they had the time to read it, instead of listening to it. The narrator sucks.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Robert Ramirez?

any one else

Could you see The Enchanter Heir being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I hope that they never try to make this in a movie. Too many time they try and move turns out to be horrible, and dose not do the book justice.

Just my thoughts
