Some of the parchment pages were the color of cream, thick and substantial, made to last many, many lifetimes. Other pages were thin and desiccated, positively yellow from age, and crackled alarmingly as Van Richten turned them over. There were no ornate illuminations, no fussy borders, only lines of plain text in hard black ink. The flowing handwriting was a bit difficult to follow at first; the writer's style of calligraphy had not been in common use for 300 years. No table of contents, but from the dates it looked to be some kind of history.

AMAZING performance of this favorite book !!!!
I have loved reading The clockwork princess and this audiobook version is truly AMAZING !!!! I didn't know this actor at all but I sure hope he will read more audiobook like this, it's a pure treasure to listen to ! he voices the characters so well and Will Welsh accent ....it was a real pleasure to listen !!!!

Wonderful Conclusion
What did you love best about The Clockwork Princess?
Tessa Gray. I loved how she was portrayed as being conflicted but honorable.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the plot twist at the end. All the times you just wish that something turned out differently, and the author finds a way to make the inevitable change.
Which scene was your favorite?
The bridge in 2008.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I've gone back and listened to parts again because I wanted to be sure not to miss a bit.
Any additional comments?
Well, I felt like in the last five chapters the author could have ended the book. So, I was holding my breath for the end for several chapters. But, I'm glad that she took us through that for perfect closure and really a great ending.
I love the Narrator. I loved how he played each character and he really gave a richness to each one. I'll be looking for him in other books just to hear his performance with the char actors.

Best of the series if not a bit melodramatic
This is one of those cases where having the book in print could save a lot of time. There seemed to be way too much heartfelt angst, doubt, redemption, etc. that could have been skimmed. Alas, the ending saved it. I don't usually cry over a book but the last couple of hours kept me in tears. What a great ending for the series!

I have listened to the series many times. And each time I listen to it, it seems to get better every time.
I wish that Ms. Claire Would have stayed out of the woke Evolution.

One of the best, series I’ve ever read.

Wow! They saved the best for last!
Would you listen to The Clockwork Princess again? Why?
Yes! The story was amazing and the narrator was fantastic! I usually become upset when they switch narrators in a series- however they finally found a good one with this last book. Could you please have him re-read the first two installments?
What other book might you compare The Clockwork Princess to and why?
The series is the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series. I enjoyed the entire series very much.
Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have never heard Daniel Sharman preform before, but I will be seeking out the books he narrates! Nicely done.
