    "Pleaslanty surprised!... Loved it"

This was a fun paranormal trilogy that had a nice Sherlock Homes feel to it. The books greatly held to the mystery of what Tessa Grey was followed by love triangles and of course impending world doom. Book 1 Clockwork Angel does kind of have a slow pace to it, but stick with it because it picks up the pace in book 2 Clockwork Prince, and I liked that they changed the narrator. Then its full steam ahead in Clockwork Princess, I pretty much shooed anyone away that tried to talk to me while I was listening.
I vote yes on credit worthy, I really enjoyed this trilogy.

    "Romance Schmomance"

So, I had never read even one Mortal Instruments book when I read the first book in this series. I had no idea what I was getting into. The first book was great. There was lots of mysteries and bad guys and Romance poetry quoting. While there was a love story involved... I would not have called it a romance novel.

By the second and third books the fact that the world was in peril seemed to come in a distant second to a bunch of BS romantic nonsense. So much so that we get the action climax a full 3 hours before the book actually ends!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a little romance in a story but i want the ratio to be like 90% action and 10% angst and longing. This book is about 85%: She loves them, they love her, they all love each other and nobody wants to hurt anyone else. Alright, I get it. How about that evil robot army? Let's stay focused on that!

So incredibly bad, so incredibly stupid, the only reason I finished it was to warn other people. Unless you really love reading about how blue some guys eyes are about a gazillion times DONT BUY THIS BOOK!

    "Master Story Weaver"
What made the experience of listening to The Clockwork Princess the most enjoyable?

I have read all of Cassandra Clare's books related to this series. Understanding what story to which this was a prequel absolutely made the story line exciting and enticing. The characters she has created in this series are connected over long periods of time and in ways that are sometimes mysterious but always compelling. The unique world she has created continues to exist in my imagination and my heart long after I finish her works and this 3 book series was no different. With her usual pacing and poise she had me walking along with the characters I have love from the previous series and envisioning myself living in England of Olde.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Of course, Magnus Bane is my favorite character in all of her books. Complicated, compassionate, feisty, powerful, and sarcastic he is at once the most daring and the most human character in the books. As an aside, the Bane Chronicles (10 of them) will tell you more about the life of Magnus over time and are short listens well worth your time. Kudos to Clare for creating a character that I would love to meet in real life.

    Any additional comments?

I often think that some novels are placed in YA (Young Adult) because that is where editors believe they will sell. Clare's books are not written for children and they certainly are not written only for young adults. The characters she has created, some wise, some young and naive, help to deliver all kinds of messages throughout her complicated stories. If you are looking for a series that will engross you for a long time to come then Cassandra Clare's books are those books. The love, the hate, the family grudges, and the world in which the characters live reaches across long periods of time and space and she masterfully pulls the reader in and envelopes the reader part of the world.

    "And it keeps ticking"

I enjoyed the conclusion to the Clockwork trilogy but I felt it was rough to get through in parts. Some of the drama gets a bit tiresome and hurts the fluidity of the book. Overall, the story is good, you see a bit deeper in to the characters. And after one of the main thread-lines from the trilogy is wrapped up, the author does take the time to bring many of the other treads and character outcomes to a natural conclusion. The end will leave you with a sad place in your heart but with hope to expand into it.

    "How twilight should have ended"
What made the experience of listening to The Clockwork Princess the most enjoyable?

I love the way all the characters in the book were strong minded and truly noble with no pretenses most stories make the characters silly and act unrealistically to the point were you don't believe in the story or the people in it causing their personalities to get lost, these characters stayed true to who they were and never faltered.they all were truly good and you gotta love a story that can pull that off!

What did you like best about this story?

There were allot of things that Truly surprised me throughout this book whereas most books tend to become a bit predictable this one had me shocked so many times it was laughable you feel the characters pain strife and indecision along with them, plus the ended was just beautifully amazing! I dare say perfect.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not but I do enjoy he's accent and even for the regular character's I preferred he's interpretation over the others and of course no one pulled off Williams's better than him, nailed it!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no when enjoying a good book you want so badly to know what happens next but also there's the fact of knowing your close to it ending so at time's you try to draw it out a bit, it's the best kind of frustrating lol

    Any additional comments?

I read the mortal instruments before this and that made me hesitant to read these in my opinion I feel like these two series were written by two different people while similar in some ways it's completely different and better for it, the characters didn't go off and do dangerous things with no regards to the adults in their life and I love that Tessa wasn't a weak female character like most are she made logical decisions that didn't make me annoyed even for her lack of knowledge about the world she was thrust into she did her homework, I usually get annoyed at the girls caught in the middle of love triangles but I believe she did what was right and still stayed true to herself.I love the way she handle Will! she was her own person and didn't act like life was ending over every short coming.

"Wow! They saved the best for last!"
Would you listen to The Clockwork Princess again? Why?

Yes! The story was amazing and the narrator was fantastic! I usually become upset when they switch narrators in a series- however they finally found a good one with this last book. Could you please have him re-read the first two installments?

What other book might you compare The Clockwork Princess to and why?

The series is the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series. I enjoyed the entire series very much.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Sharman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never heard Daniel Sharman preform before, but I will be seeking out the books he narrates! Nicely done.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The end was unexpected, that's all I can say without giving too much away! :)

"still whirling from the thrill of it, amazing!!!!"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Clockwork Princess to be better than the print version?

yes, as it brought all of the characters to life, I felt like I was in england in the late 1700's.

What other book might you compare The Clockwork Princess to and why?

others in this series, I am a new fan of steampunk, but think that this may have gotten me addicted to this genre.

What does Daniel Sharman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

great voice, and great accents made you feel like you were realy there

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, and I could not stop, I did not get anything done as I was truely engrossed in this amazing series

    Any additional comments?

listen to this series, I am still not ready to accept that it is over, I cried sobbed and weeped at parts of this story as well as laughed and yelled and cheered at my stereo as I listened, I loved every minute of this book

    "Fell asleep..."

After looking forward to this book for ages, I feel completely let down. Boring and redundant would be my best description. It didn't feel like it was even written by the same author.

On top of that, I wasn't crazy about the narrator. He did an OK job with the accents, but Tessa sounded rote and mechanical. I literally fell asleep TWICE during the first couple of chapters.

I honestly could not wait to get to the ending, which seemed to take an unnecessary amount of time. The "I love that one, but I also love the other one" line got really boring!

The first two books were very enjoyable but this installment falls way short of expectation.

    "Best book in the series"

I am one of those rare people who disliked Will Herondale, I don't find him charming as the rest of the world does yet in this book I do understand why so many people are gushing about him .. this book was the most enjoyable and entertaining out of the three in the series .. the narration was very well done and my favourite character was Gideon Lightwood and Counsel Josiah Wayland .. the ending was satisfying to me ..
so glad that I finally read this series :D
