Publisher's summary

The third and final fast-paced installment in the popular Raised by Wolves books, called "the most compelling YA werewolf series out there" by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Marr.

In the eye of a storm stands Bryn, the alpha of the Cedar Ridge werewolf pack. She is young. Female. Human. Physically weaker than any werewolf, she could never survive a battle with another Alpha, the strongest, fiercest, and canniest of his pack. Yet she cannot refuse a summons from the werewolf Senate. A rogue werewolf is attacking humans. The risk of exposure threatens to destroy pack life, and the center of the crisis is Cedar Ridge territory - her own lands.

Bryn has no choice but to attend the meeting, a gathering of the most powerful werewolves on the continent. The subject is the rogue wolf, but Bryn knows the other packs want what she has. Her territory. Her females. Her pack. They want her death. Werewolf law prevents the other alphas from making a direct attack. It also prevents her former alpha, the mysterious and powerful Callum, from coming to her aid. But it doesn't prevent Bryn from knowing what she wants. To keep her lands. To protect her pack. To survive.

The ending ruined the series.

That just sucked! I hate when an author takes an awesome series and gives it a sucky ending! Add her to my "never read this author again" list.

That ending!?!? What!!!!

I was engrossed in all 3 books, couldn’t turn them off. The final moments when you think everything is going to come together, it ends. This book leaves you begging for another book. How can it end that way. I don’t regret reading the books but it would be great to have known it ends abruptly with no real “ending” but more of another beginning.

Made me cry

What was one of the most memorable moments of Taken by Storm?

Evil can be outmaneuvered and defeated but at a high cost. This is the third book, so you become invested in the characters.

Any additional comments?

Some characters are more memorable by the things they do not do. When inaction makes a friend not your friend, and your enemy stronger.

This is a battle against evil intent of monsters, though sometimes you get sidetracked by the fact they are sometimes human in appearance.

Is there a happily ever after if the cost of success is devastating? The needs of the many are greater than the needs of the few?
