Couldn't put it down!

This was very engaging, especially the ending. I just couldn't put it down. Started this on a 2.5 hour road trip and arrived what seemed like minutes had passed. Sat in my car listening for many more minutes as I tried to get to a dead spot. There were few.

Supremely Sci-fi

Brandon is a genius. I just took a break from fantasy and there was an Audible 2 for 1 special so I gave this a listen and boy am I glad I did.

The story is a simple plot line, yet the characters are enthralling and developed well. Once you start, you won’t want to stop.

Easy Listen

The story revolves around a young man who has spent his whole life planning to kill a super powered villain called Steelheart (in revenge for the death of his father). The book moves along at a good pace, with lots of twists, some pretty cool ideas and the conclusion does a nice job of of tying up all the loose ends. I would recommend this as a nice easy listen.

When Comics Go Wrong

Do you love superheroes? the greats that protect humans? well what if they were all super villains craving power and going mad with unrestrained ability? can one boy save the world? a slight lover twist, fights, battles, coming age see how the hero of sorts finds his way

Amazing book in all

The world Sanderson has built is an amazing twist on the superhero genre. I am obsessed with this series and have both read and listen to them all many times. MacLeod Andrews is a fantastic narrator and does a wonderful job with distinguishing characters and emotions.

Keeps attention all the way.

Nailed it

Brandon. You've done it again can't wait for the sequel. Really fun story, great characters, excellent narration. Couldn't be happier unless iif it were part of the cosmere :)

So good

This book was excellent. I really hope they make it into a movie. I look forward to reading Firefight.

An entertaining listening

First of all, just to prevent mistakes - this book has a YA vibe.

But if youre ok with a teenage protagonist, then Im sure youll enjoy this book.

Its funny, thrilling and overall a great listen.
And without noticing, the characters grow on you.
Also the narrator does a great job, with both the male and female parts.

Exceeded my Expectations!

Absolutely loved this book! It's kept me on the edge of my seat! The storyline was strong even if it is similar to others. My only problem at all was not with the book but the narration. I'm not going to lie. I don't love listening to books because of this exact reason. When the narrator makes different voices for different characters especially of the opposite sex it just really makes me cringe. Other than the slightly cringey narration I would 100% recommend!
