The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past... bridged two irreconcilable worlds... faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust... and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for - and their love - forever.

Story was amazing!! I got Silence the day it came out and finished it the next day. Story line kept me hooked, narrator was great and Patch and Nora were awesome. Loved the twists and ending, cant wait for book 4.
Becca Fitzpatrick returns with her third composition Silence, which was more an absence of content than sound.
The latest installment in the Hush Hush series catches up with Nora at the beginning of fall term. Unfortunately Grey has been missing for most of the summer and can't remember the past five months prior to her reappearance. Weird, since she hasn't been gone that long. Nora's going to have to unravel her past to solve the ever growing mysteries of the present and hopefully save her from an unwanted future.
Silence was my least favorite of the series so far. While I appreciate the use of amnesia as a writing device to fuel the story, I felt it dragged on too long. Nora's lack of knowing created more filler than possibilities and took up a good half of the book. I would also recommend reading the first two books before Silence. I felt like Nora wasn't the only one who didn't remember what was going on, and without the usual recaps in the beginning the story it got a little frustrating. Add in all the supporting characters having drastically changed, some of the plot points fell flat for me as well, and Nora acting self-centered toward her allies at times, I found a lot to disconnect with. Included in the forgotten portion of her life was Patch, so not only was I lost but I was lost without a lifeline to cling to most of the story.
The only saving grace was in the second half of the story when Nora was finally getting some answers, Patch was becoming more of a feature again, there's some resolution, and we find out what really happened to Nora during her lost time.
Overall I felt like there was a big gaping hole in a huge section of this book, and I'm hoping Silence is just a long pause before a very eventfully storm.
I'm a grad student with very little time to edit reviews because I'm editing research papers. Forgive the typos. They're made with love.
Ms. Fiitzpatrick, it was an interesting ride but I must disembark after just one hour in and leave you to the younger set.
A word to the over... oh I don't know... 21? 25? well, somewhere in there: I can only relate my personal experience here to let you know that where some teen novels can be fun for adults, this one should definitely remain among the teens. I tried my best to stick with it since I had listened to the first two, but this narrator just teen-angsted me to death. The story is to blame too.
This coming from a 31 year old gal about to take her neice to the midnight opening of Breaking Dawn. You be the judge.
I gave it two stars instead of one because surely the teens will love it. I just won't know myself.
This saga is a masterpiece. I have never loved something this much in a long long time. It has helped me relax and forget about my own personal problems... A true and wonderful escape I've read 3 of the 4 books and I'm about to start the 4th so far amazing.
I loved this book. Typically books is a series don't ever even come close to being as good as the first book, but Becca Fitzpatrick has accomplished that so far with both crescendo and silence. It was absolutely wonderful.
Someone Who Has Read Everything Else By Every Other Author & This Is The Last Book In The World!!
After This One --- Probably NOT!!
VERY VERY SLOW & VERY REDUNDANT --- I Skipped Pages To Move It Along!!
The irritation & redundancy goes hand-n-hand this book except for the last 4 Chapter didn't need to be written. The whole book we are asked questions that we already know the answer too. The annoying part comes from the character themselves. It's called common sense & in the face truths that they constantly ignore that had me yelling at the book & wanting to throw it out of frustration. I loved the first book then started losing me after the second & now I'm not even sure if I care to finish this series (which I always do whether I like them or not). So I think that says a lot & I also found myself skipping over pages just because of all the redundancy, which is every other page it seems, so be WARNED.
THIS SERIES COULD HAVE BEEN A TRILOGY & THIS BOOK CUT!!
I love Becca Fitzpatrick and this story is amazing. I am hoping that her 4th book is going to be as good as this one is.
