Publisher's summary

What if you discovered something about yourself that was less than pleasant. Would you search for the answers or would you be too terrified of what you might find?

Like most teenagers, Rouge is trying to figure out who she is and what she wants to be. With little knowledge about her past, she has questions but has never tried to find the answers. Everything changes when she befriends a strangely intoxicating family. Siblings Grace and Michael, appear to have secrets which seem connected to Rouge. Her hunch is confirmed when a horrible incident occurs at an outdoor party. Rouge may be the only one who can find the answer.

An ancient journal, a Sioghra necklace and a special mark force life-altering decisions for a girl who grew up unprepared to fight for her life or others.

All secrets come with a cost and Rouge's determination to find the truth can only lead to trouble...or something even more sinister.

Twilight Knock-Off

Would you try another book from W. J. May and/or Chloe Golden?

Yes I would.

Would you recommend Seventh Mark: Hidden Secrets Saga, Volume 1 to your friends? Why or why not?

I would to some one who like this genre.

What three words best describe Chloe Golden’s performance?

An okay job.

Was Seventh Mark: Hidden Secrets Saga, Volume 1 worth the listening time?

I've heard better and more original stories, however the story was good and entertaining.

Any additional comments?

This book is sort of a Twilight Knock-Off with a few variables. Instead of vampires there is an immortal race descended form nephilims. They have been in a multi-generational war with another paranormal werewolf like species called Growlicks.

Rouge has been raised in foster homes and knows nothing of her parentage nor ancestry. She befriends Grace and falls in love with Grace's twin brother Michael who are part angel immortals. She comes across an ancient book that is written in Gowlick which she can read. This leads Michael's and Grace's adoptive father Calab to speculate just what Rouge is.

The book is well written and entertaining. It will hook you.

Needs a better audible reader/ narrator!!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes and No?? The story is a very good YA read. The flash backs are vivid enough to move you to the need revelation, but simple. The characters are repeatable, but hard to truly connect to them (bad narrator).

Who was your favorite character and why?

Grace, hands down, makes the story come alive with energy and emotions. She is the best friend we all wish we had.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Very dry narration she had little if any personality. It almost sound like she is reading a school book.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

TV show would be better or anime.

Becoming the Seventh!

I first heard about this story along with others that I've listened to when I listened to Four and a Half Shades of Fantasy by author W.J. May. If you're one that isn't sure if you want to get the first book to each series then listen to the boxed sent first. W.J. May has written a perfect story, it's a YA paranormal that will blow your mind. The plot is unique, filled with of action, suspense, and it's fast paced that flows smoothly. The characters are young teens, but some of them have a lot to deal with, more so than others who worry about school, work, getting in a good college, and friends. For some teens like Rouge, Michael, and Grace they have supernatural beings to deal with and Rouge has to learn and figure out what she is, who she is. May has written an original, suspenseful fantasy that will leave you satisfied and you'll find yourself engrossed from start to finish.
Narrator Chloe Golden did a great job at her narration of The Seventh Mark. I find it enjoyable when the narrator can perform female and male voices a sound real. I have noticed that male narrator's have a difficult time with female voices and accents where as a female narrator can sound exactly like a male and male their voice change for each male character and this is what Chloe did exceptionally well. I had no problems with distinguishing each male character. I knew exactly which male character was speaking throughout this story. Chloe Golden kept me immersed in her performance of The Seventh Mark. Overall, I feel this is a perfect 5 🌟 rating!
