Publisher's summary

The highly anticipated conclusion to The Captive Series.

Imprisoned by Caleb and at the mercy of the king, Aria is determined not to let them break her. However, the more atrocities she witnesses, the more she realizes there are some horrors no one can withstand, and sometimes survival isn’t always the best option.

Tormented by the loss of Aria, Braith is forced to choose between his need to rescue her and the impending rebel war he’s been chosen to lead. Fighting against the darkness that threatens to drag him into its tempting depths, Braith struggles not to become like the one thing he hates the most: his father.

Faced with their own separate challenges, Aria and Braith must come to terms with who they are, what they want, and the likelihood that they can never be together as the inevitable war looms on the horizon - a war all of them will fight but not all of them will survive.

Certain!

I am for certain that Aria is certain about being certain, because she mentioned that she was certain quite regular. I am also for certain that I am in love with this series.

Happily Ever After is true

I listened to whole series and the writing was outstanding. The characters rich in substance.. great story line throughout. My only wish was that you had a male voice for the men. I did got confused identifying who was speaking when the men sounded like a female.

Loved it

Great book. I liked how they didn't just focus on the war/fight. Aria did get a little too love mushy for what I thought her character would but still great

Have to listen to the whole series

The first and second book were so hard to listen to but I trudged on. I think the idea of them be referred to as individual books makes them so hard to feel satisfied with the lengthy psychology in them. However, it does make the 3rd and 4th books make more sense without all the inner dialogue. I’m glad I stuck to it. However, knowing that the next book will be Jack’s story makes me feel like I can end here. This series was great and rewarding once you get past the first 2 books.

It was great at time and MONOTONOUS others

Aria's voice and inner thoughts were very annoying. Same thing over and over. I found myself fast forwarding past them a lot.
The "action" scenes were good.

Great Series for cleaning,painting,cooking!

In my humble opinion, the first three books of the series could have been written in two books. There is a lot of inner dialogue of the same thoughts over and over and over. That’s why you need to be doing something else. You won’t miss a thing. It is a love story after all. In Salvation the story picks up. And I’m glad the war was quick and didn’t go on for several books. I like when Aria flies though the trees and is an awesome fighter but when she is around her love she is ALWAYS CRYING,or eyes are wet but she’s not letting them fall. The writer must feel, that men love a weeping woman. If I was reading this book, I imagine every other page the MC is starting to cry, has wet eyes or glistening eyes. My eyes are rolling. Not again she’s crying! Of course, I’m not a writer, Erica must be using the crying as a way to get her love to come kiss, cuddle, away her tears. I’m just saying, She’s supposed to be a strong women. I did give 5 stars, because I keep listening and I’m buying the next book, So the series is getting better and better. Good narrator, except one or two of the male characters sound just like women and I have to remind myself they are men talking. We’ll on to book 5. I need a book to paint by, and these are perfect.!

Greatest Love story!!

I truly love this series so far! The intense fear, passion, loss, and unconditional love is almost overwhelming. This is the type of love that everyone (who wants love) wants to experience in our short human lives.
Be prepared to laugh, cry (like ugly cry), feel dread and understanding for these characters.

I like it

Very slow but I really like it one thing that I hate was the constant reminder that Aria was ugly every time they talk how she was nothing pretty and so little for him
