As friction increases between undead adversaries, one question demands an answer: Is Schuyler Van Alen a Blue Blood, or can her lineage be traced to the wicked Silver Bloods? As the debate rages, Schuyler is trapped in the Force household with her arch enemy, Mimi Force, and her crush, Jack Force.
When Silver Bloods in Rio break open one of the Gates of Hell, however, the Blue Bloods will need Schuyler: a high stakes, bloody battle must be won, even as Carnavale swirles around them.

I'm a MA in Theatre and love a good story. I also sometimes forget to proofread my reviews so sorry for any typos ;)
Lawrence and Cordelia had Charles/Michael and Allegra/Gabrielle, for some strange reason Allegra didn't want to marry her brother (her heavenly twin) and seal the bond. Charles left the family and named himself Charles Force. Allegra went on to have two daughters, one who has been around for a while and we don't know who she is just yet, and Schuyler was born to her by her human familiar. So technically Schuyler is Charles Force's neice and he has adopted her to live with him an his family. There's just one problem. Schuyler loves Jack, Charles son. But he Jack has to marry Mimi, his twin sister. But it's okay, because they're meant to be together forever and its only us silly humans who think marrying your sibling is wrong. and they have a spell to fix that anyway. So Mimi is determined to make it official five years before the official marriage age of 21.
If I were a parent, I'd probably raise an eyebrow at this, but it is rather tame. It's very clear all these teens are having sex, yet its masked easily by starting with kissing and fading to them laying beside each other. There's no mention of missing clothing, in fact there's no description at all. Which leaves the mind to wonder and allows the author to sidestep that she's not only implying incest, but underage sex as well. It's got my eyebrow raised for sure.
In the end, if you're looking for a vampire novel, it's a bit light. Twilight had more vampirism and Bella never actually got bitten (well, barely... poison aside). This is more the thrill of running from other vampires, the bad ones, without actually knowing who they are, where they are, or when they'll strike. Meanwhile, the gals strut away on the catwalk for a psuedo-Ralph Lauren. Everyone's still rich, sassy, and fighting over... rights to be the best of the best?
Yes i would listen again. Her books keep me on the edge of my seat waiting to hear what happens next.
Blue bloods series is one to look into especially if you are interested in vimpires and love stories
Fibromyalgia. The reason I suddenly could not read books anymore, couldn't concentrate on the written word. I discovered Audiobooks...
Yes, because it has a new and different twist on the new Vampire fictions. It has many great references to the bible, history and one has to pay attention to get it all. Great challenge!
