I love this book

This book is perfect for 12 and up it is amazing book and it has an amazing plot to 100% suggest.

great read (or should i say listen?)

i love the book! this is my second time reading it. but what i didn't like was some of the readers voices. they sounded way over the top and exaggerated. not all voices have to be completely different.

I wish I could add an extra star to Performance!

Sarah Drew's narration was sooo good! I don't think I would have connected as much to this series without it. I've listened to many audiobooks and her ability to bring the emotions out of the characters is amazing. I hate a monotone narration or poorly done voices. Her narration had tons of life and she did a great job on both the male and female characters. For me, Sarah Drew's narration of the Delirium series is second only to the narration of The Help and that was done by four people so that says a lot!

If you have read the first two books then you absolutely must read Requiem. The book was well written and I felt like I lived inside Lena's story. I loved all three of the books, but I felt like the ending was just barely enough. There needed to be a lot more resolution after all of the emotional turmoil this series put me through. It just hinted at how things were going to turn out. There is a brief period of semi-resolution and then the book is over. I didn't hate it. I just wanted more.

Almost really good

The story was interesting, the reader well matched and I thought the concept was good. Spoiler alert: When the female character uses another guy, and then throws him over, I don't have any respect for that character. "Don't tell me you love me - here let me kiss all over you". "Please give me time but I'll continue to sleep next to you every night". The poor guy ends up getting hit right between the eyes - down for the count when he is dumped. With the girl throwing herself at him at every chance, how could he ever see it coming. I found that bit distracting - the story could stand without it. At one point, when she was all over the first guy again, I wondered what she was going to do - take him back to the tent to sleep with her and the second guy? I always think both guys should walk away and find someone better. That back and forth is like a character flaw in a book. I did like the main story, but the so called romance was annoying.

Least fave of the series-really only for major fan

It ended well but this was a challenge to get through. So much of the middle is limbo, which is understandable. But the beginning was also kind of anticlimactic given the cliffhanger from the previous book. I hated the dual narratives until close to the end. Really what kept me going was the beautiful writhing and Sarah Drew's breathtaking narration/reding.

Great!! Series!

This was such a fantastic book series! So much heart brake and so much action, lot of twists and turns. The narrators were really great as well and sometime just getting a good narrators is half the issue, it can make or brake people want to hear it. Only disappointment is that the 4 smaller books are not on auto books. I love listening to auto books because I can do what I need to do and still hear the story. But I will just have to read them this time. Looking forward to more books from this author.

A perfect ending

How to review such a perfect story, that is so tortured and is so beautiful, I don't know. All I know is that this series has made me cry, love, laugh, angry, and to just, feel so intensely. This series has got to be my favorite, ever.

Story and narrator are a perfect match.

Would you listen to Requiem again? Why?

Yes, I was so caught up in the story and Sarah's performance that I would listen to it again to catch parts I may have missed in all the excitement.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way the author created the environment for the story. I was able to see the hardship and even at times smell the odors she was describing.

What does Sarah Drew bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the emotion that she brought to the characters. Her voice would hitch in the right places and she would shout when the characters were shouting. Her performance brought the story to life for me. I would get so caught up I could see the scene playing out like a movie in my mind. Sarah is my new favorite narrator. I can't wait to listen to more books narrated by her.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"Take down the walls." That was one of the last quotes from the book.

Any additional comments?

It's a breath of fresh air to read a book by an author who can paint such real environments and fill them with emotional scenes that draw the reader in. I loved her characters and I could identify with all of them at one time or another. The fact that they were all flawed and not perfect made the story come alive for me. I can't wait to read more books by Lauren in the future. Sarah Drew was a perfect narrator for the series. She kept the story going with her wonderful acting skills. No one has brought the characters to life for me as much as Sarah has.

Would you consider the audio edition of Requiem to be better than the print version?

Yes, Sarah Drew is an wonderful narrator. I think she brought a lot of depth to the characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Requiem?

The end, which was very bittersweet,because i loved what was happening but I was SO SAD that it was over.
