Publisher's summary

Sweeping across centuries, Passion is the third novel in the unforgettably epic and worldwide best-selling Fallen series.

A New York Times best seller.

A USA Today best seller.

More than three million series copies in print!

Luce would die for Daniel.

And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way...Luce is certain that something - or someone - in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime...going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel...and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames...forever.

Better sense of the past

When I first started listening to this one, I thought it might drag a bit. But I found myself getting emotionally tied in with Daniel more in this book and I think that kept it from dragging for me. Passion gives a much better sense on just how tortured Daniel has been watching Luce die in front of him for 5000 years. You get a better grip on the pain, depression, determination, devotion, and love he has surrounding her. While the story was told from Luce's perspective, this book really was about Daniel in my opinion. I felt a little confused and not quite fulfilled at the ending, but it did leave a nice setup for book 4 (Rapture, out in 2012).

You can't grasp a love story that spans this far with just a simple explanation. You simply have to live it...with Passion.

Needs a better narrator

I love these books so I was excited to listen to #3. So far so good...my only complaint is the narrator. Luce is supposed to be 16 years old and the narrator sounds like my grandmother. A younger voice would help the listener connect better with Luce's character. Sometimes I forget I am listening to a book about a teenager.

Amazing Time Travel

Any additional comments?

I love where Passion (Fallen #3) begins. Torment (Fallen #2) left me hanging, so I was beyond anxious to see where this book - the story - took us. I was not disappointed.

If you are a fan of period pieces, you will adore Passion (Fallen #3). We are taken through past life after past life where Luce and Daniel meet, fall in love, and separate because of the curse plaguing them and their relationship.

There are moments that are tender where you fall deeper in love with the characters. There are other times that are so heart wrenching where you mourn for their fate. In the end, you are pulling for them and hoping they find each other for real and break the curse.

I liked the way Lauren Kate makes us see the characters from each of the previous books in a new light, making us question - yet again - their ulterior motives. As for me, I'm looking forward to Rapture (Fallen #4), which absolutely has the potential to be the best one yet.

Like this one the best

I really enjoyed this series so far when I was skeptical about it at first. The narrator did a great job changing the accents (may not be exact accents but still good) which really beings the story together. Lots of action, cant wait for the next one.

turn of events

Here Lauren Kate changes things up and makes for a build finale on book four. The plot takes an turn that unfortunately might be a little cliche, but not so bad that it turns the reader away.
