When I first started listening to this one, I thought it might drag a bit. But I found myself getting emotionally tied in with Daniel more in this book and I think that kept it from dragging for me. Passion gives a much better sense on just how tortured Daniel has been watching Luce die in front of him for 5000 years. You get a better grip on the pain, depression, determination, devotion, and love he has surrounding her. While the story was told from Luce's perspective, this book really was about Daniel in my opinion. I felt a little confused and not quite fulfilled at the ending, but it did leave a nice setup for book 4 (Rapture, out in 2012).
You can't grasp a love story that spans this far with just a simple explanation. You simply have to live it...with Passion.

I love where Passion (Fallen #3) begins. Torment (Fallen #2) left me hanging, so I was beyond anxious to see where this book - the story - took us. I was not disappointed.
If you are a fan of period pieces, you will adore Passion (Fallen #3). We are taken through past life after past life where Luce and Daniel meet, fall in love, and separate because of the curse plaguing them and their relationship.
There are moments that are tender where you fall deeper in love with the characters. There are other times that are so heart wrenching where you mourn for their fate. In the end, you are pulling for them and hoping they find each other for real and break the curse.
I liked the way Lauren Kate makes us see the characters from each of the previous books in a new light, making us question - yet again - their ulterior motives. As for me, I'm looking forward to Rapture (Fallen #4), which absolutely has the potential to be the best one yet.

I love these books so I was excited to listen to #3. So far so good...my only complaint is the narrator. Luce is supposed to be 16 years old and the narrator sounds like my grandmother. A younger voice would help the listener connect better with Luce's character. Sometimes I forget I am listening to a book about a teenager.
it was interesting kept my attention her voice takes some getting used to. she sounds like an old lady who is young trying to sound old. or like she's about to cry or just woke up. that Fleming in thbetween her throat and chest thing
I love getting lost in books. Horror, fantasy, fiction... I am all about it. Someone recommend a good book for me to jump into!!
Even though I feel like the story line is dragged out a bit, it's still really interesting and addicting to me. The bond between Luce and Daniel literally takes my breath away at some points. Lauren Kate has a wonderful, romantic writing style that ignites your heart... I'm telling you, you won't want to put this down because you just HAVE to know what is to come of these characters!!
Of course I'll listening Passion again... Lauren Kate write a wonderful love story that crosses the history in a majestic way. Each historical moments head us to a new moment, a new situation, with new moral limits on the love story of Luce and Daniel. Is amazing.
I love all character. Sometimes Bill annoyes me, in other times no so much. But in general, I don't have on specific favorite character.
Are two different situations. I always love read. Read allows me to travel and imagine each situation. Listen to the book, brings a different experience, since you are free to close your eyes when you get tired and enjoy the story, as children do.
Yes. I have no doubt about it.
Until know, I love all the books of Lauren Kate, but this is the BEST of all thelm.
Romantic, outworldly, exciting
My favourite character is Luc because she keeps trying.
The one when she realised that the gargoyle was not helping her.
Maybe if I was driving somewhere by myself I would make my partner listen to it all.
Don't judge this book it is just a escapism and it is entertaining.
Definitely. This book is wonderful and I love the series.
The writing style some times reminds me of P.C. Cast's House of Night series though the stories are about as different as night and day.
There are many things that could be improved on in this aspect. The narrator spoke with a nasally voice that made this story nearly impossible to listen to, despite how much I love the story. Other than one character (which only showed up half way threw the book!) all of the characters had almost the exact same voice. It made it very hard to fallow conversations some times. She was also a bit lacking when it came to vocal expressions. It was impossible to tell people's emotions when listening to the story.
True love never dies.
I really enjoyed this series so far when I was skeptical about it at first. The narrator did a great job changing the accents (may not be exact accents but still good) which really beings the story together. Lots of action, cant wait for the next one.
