Publisher's summary

I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare, pushing aside thoughts of Alex, pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school, push, push, push, like Raven taught me to do. The old life is dead. But the old Lena is dead too. I buried her. I left her beyond a fence, behind a wall of smoke and flame.

Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times best seller, Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.

Almost really good

The story was interesting, the reader well matched, but sometimes I get stuck on the little things. Lessons I learned. Weapons: always leave your weapon behind, or place it in a location that can’t be reached in an emergency. Romance: love the one you're with, or go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth - real love lasts a few weeks, or maybe a month or two. Stealth: In a dangerous situation when your life or freedom are on the line, screech out the name of the other person with you to draw as much attention as possible. That way your location and identity will available to the group trying to capture you. See, it's just the little things that get in my way at times. I did continue with the series.

Great sequel!

Sequels rarely stand up to the quality of the original (exceptions include "The Hunger Games" and "Divergent" series), but this one does. And it ends with a provocative situation requiring me to immediately purchase and download the next book in this series.

Great!

I loved this book, as much as I loved the first one. I did however find it all a little predictable, but that was okay. I still enjoyed it.

A Great Sequel !!

Okay. I'll admit it. When I first started listening to this audiobook, I was doing so just because I read the first book and I wanted to know what happened to Alex and Lana, and to see if they made it into the Wilds safely. Once that was figured out (sorry, I'm not giving any spoilers), I did find the story, and the "Now" and "Then" perspectives just a bit confusing to me...but I quickly got with the program.

In this follow-up to Delirium, we see Lana's character grow immensely and really come into herself. We also see the introduction of an almost entirely new cast of characters.

There are so many things that I would love to go into about Alex, Julian, and her Lana's mom, but that would be giving away just too many potential spoilers...and it would totally ruin the experience for anyone about to listen to the book. Just know that Sarah Drew does a wonderful job at expressing the emotion in Lana's voice; and that is definitely needed in this book because poor Lana is put to so many tests, emotionally and physically.

Let me just say that by the end of the book I was (literally) sitting on the edge of my bed, wide-eyed, and by the last words uttered by the narrator, I was cursing out loud because the book was over and I cannot believe that Lauren Oliver expects us to sit and wait until February, 2013 for Requiem to come out so we can find out what happens next!!!!!

A Strong Second book in the Trillogy!

I loved this book just as much as the first in this series, DELIRIUM. It is quite different since we now know the set up and characters. The main character, Lena, morns her losses while establishing a new life for herself in the Wilds. This novel (series) is so well written. I thourally enjoyed the journey. I still need to read the 3rd novel in this trillogy and i am eagerly waiting for it to come to audio format too. If you don't mind reading YA novels, and enjoy stories about dystopian societies, you too will love this book - i am sure of it!

Pretty good, not great

The story was a good continuation of the series, never boring. I found the narrator to be a bit annoying, but not to the point where it was unlistenable. I do plan to listen to the third book in the series.

Gotta read book 3 NOW!

Loved this book. Lauren Oliver did it again! Lena your killing me. I feel for her so much. Her struggle between a love she has lost and one that can possibly be. On top of her personal love issues there is the threat of the government trying to rid society of the "invalids" and the "wilds". The fight for the freedom to choose love and ones future pushes forward. New characters to feel for, struggles and heartache, and, of course, another cliffhanger is what you are in for in this installment. Sarah Drew, again, has done an awesome job with narration!

I was a little thrown off by the "Then" and "Now" switch from chapter to chapter but quickly caught on. I really liked how Oliver had both time frames coincide with each other, then meet up in the end and finish off in the present. It was a smart way to keep up the pace of Lena's story through out the book. What can i say? Awsome book! Loved it!

The perfect, face-paced sequel

If you could sum up Pandemonium in three words, what would they be?

Heartbreaking, optimistic, emotional

What was one of the most memorable moments of Pandemonium?

When she realized she was alone. She had no one. Everyone that she really loved had been taken from her one way or another. It was gut wrenching.

Which character – as performed by Sarah Drew – was your favorite?

It was definiltey Alex in Delirium but in this one it had to be Lena. She did an amazing job at transforming the character throughout her hardships and growth out in the Wilds.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried. I cried big.

Any additional comments?

I loved this one. It felt a lot faster than the first book in the series. I've already bought the final book but am scared to listen after the bombshell cliffhanger they left us with on this one.
