When Phoebe's mom returns from Greece with a new husband and moves them to an island in the Aegean, Phoebe's plans for her senior year and track season are ancient history.
Now she must attend the uberexclusive academy, where admission depends on pedigree, namely, ancestry from Zeus, Hera, and other Greek gods. That's right, they're real, not myth, and their teen descendants are like the classical heroes - supersmart and superbeautiful with a few superpowers. And now they're on her track team!
Armed only with her Nikes and the will to win, Phoebe races to find her place among the gods.

"The mythological concept elevates the usual high-school dramas...to new heights. Funny and light, this tale is a romance of Olympian proportions." (Kirkus Reviews)
Young self made business man with plenty of time on the road to enjoy the world of audiobooks.
3rd book i have listen to of tera and she has not disappoint me
loved it, one of those dont judge a book by its cover or title moments.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
A cute little teenage story of a girl who starts school with a bunch of descendants of Greek Gods. Being the only one without powers, lots of people don't like her. Luckily she finds some friends, wins some victories and learns new things about herself. This is a fun story, recommended for girls around 12 and up. I like to read a little of everything so I enjoyed it, especially since it was only 3.95. I recommend listening to Bras & Broomsticks series by Sarah Mlynowski if you like this one. Narrator was great portraying a teenage girl.
Yes!! This book was hilarious and super cute!! It made me want to rush out and buy the second book to see what happens next!!!
This book made me laugh out loud multiple times!! It was so funny!!!
Coffee Table Reviews
The audio of this book was brilliant. I really enjoyed the reader, Jessica Almasy. She brought the characters to life. The story was really good but I was glad that I listened instead of read it. I would have missed out on a really great audio.
I wasn't expected so much out of this when I first came across the book. It sat on my to be read list for quite a while before stumbling on the audio version. After sampling, I downloaded immediately and never once regretted the purchase.
The school was fun. Getting to know the different descendants and seeing how Phoebe learned to deal with her new life when going to a school meant for 'gifted' individuals. All around fun book.
I love audio books. My job is mostly filing and data entry. So, I spend most of my day listening to books from audible. This book is told in first person and is like sitting across the table from the main character and getting a first hand account of her life.
I listened to Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini first. That book got me intrested in the whole Demigod's kick so I started looking for books with Demigods in them and Oh My Gods popped up. I think Tera Lynn Childs should get royalties from Starcrossed because it seemed apparent to me where Josephine Angelini got her idea.
I had a lot of favorite scenes. So as not to spoil the listen I will keep them to my self.
How to survive a school full of kids who are the descendents of Greek Gods.
I know this book is targeted at the tween's. But I don't care if you need a feel good story with just enough supernatural to ground you Read Oh My Gods by Tera Lynn Childs.
This is a lovely YA fantasy/scifi novel. It's well written with well developed characters and a nice plot line. The narration was very good. It was not an 'amazing' novel, thus only 4 stars. However, it was an enjoyable, well worked book which I highly recommend.
(On my dad's account)
So i read some bad reviews on this but i thought i should listen to it myself for juding it..this book is for pre-teens (like me) it's not for 20-40 women half of the views come from that age group on here it's quite sad because for teens they put back such good books..I really like the idea of this book at some points it annyoys me and then it doesn't..I love the people in this book i especially like her step - father he is very witty , This is like cinderella with a twist of myth legends and love..since Stella is going after the prince charming but Phobe get's to him they have hardships and blah blah blah..But over all this book is amazing.
I just love that it was been read out loud. I loved the narrator Jessica Almasy. She gave the characters so much live. My most memorable experience is when Phoebe's mom almost blurted out that she wants to know if Phoebe is a demigod. But she didn't say it. I loved that it was confusing and mesmerizing that Phoebe couldn't figure out she had powers before she new anything.
Also love that I still remember the story from previous years since I read the book. It was definitely more fun to listen to the book then actually reading it.
Story was slow and predictable with not much happening. If you are looking for a story about teenage angst this is the book for you.
I bought the story because I am half Greek and thought it could be amusing. It really was! Unexpectedly so. And you don't need to be half Greek to enjoy it. This was creative and cute and perfect for young adults. The reader was very dynamic and fun to listen to. Overall, I enjoyed this more than I expected to.
